I play on console, and I do occasionally run into players who are clearly using hardware cheats to eliminate recoil (beaming with SMGs at 80 meters for example), or PC players spoofing into console lobbies, using strafe scripts and moving all over while looting. I'd imagine, based on sales figures and waiting lists to buy them (I put myself on a list to be informed when Cronus Zen is back in stock months ago, and haven't heard back), that the hardware cheaters are more common than I realize - it's not an aimbot, they actually have to be decent aimers/trackers to make much use of their cheats.
But the trolls, I run into with a bit more frequency. Every time I've reported one, even in ranked, I get a message back saying no action will be taken. FWIW.
