Yep. Then you get into lobbies with preds.
Most of the times when I am paired with lvl 10s I am at a minimum fighting a 1v2, because at least one is eliminated (self eliminates) within the first 10 seconds from drop.
Players just drop hot, because that is the "cool advice" their favorite streamer gives. Except, the streamer may be a top pred and has absolutely 0 issues 99% of the times taking on pubs SOLO, and win.
I blame matchmaking for this. Everyone has the same rights to play the game as they please according to the rules. But there is no point in pairing lvl 10s with more experienced players.
Hard to tell how mm should be improved without even knowing how it works in the first place, except for the fact that it prioritizes speed over other stats in pubs.
Ranked is not much better. You still get players dropping hot, insta dying, you will still fight a 2v1 or a 3v1, and will have level 12s (at lower ranks). In gold they may have graduated to lvl 30 or so... And the smurfs... etc.

@VdstrkDropping hot serves many purposes. 1 it makes you a better player. Coming out on top in frag means you have advanced your game play enough to clear the city with close combat and better movement abilities out smarting the team. 2 being easy kills. Its all rng you either get the guns and armor or you dont. Just how the game is but when you do land on them it can be big. Just in 3 minutes one game i had 9 kills on bangalore. 3 it helps you learn to handle pressure a lot better to make you more aware and alert.
So for that reason I do not feel they do it because some streamer tells them to. I feel a lot do it to better their game-play until its perfected at their peak point.- 4 years ago

Honestly, the RNG is what makes it rough, sometimes. And that had far less to do with player skill than it does with luck and that sucks.
For example, in one of those 2 dozen or so games, I was on World's Edge. The JM ended up wanting to go to drop in the city/some buildings, but so did like 4 other squads. Well, of course, I'm rushing to find weapons and all that. I was able to find a RE-45, a P2020 and 1 stack of light ammo, before the fighting broke out. All in all, it was going good at first. I was landing shots, downing people, not getting hit much, etc. But I couldn't find any extra ammo in a box or on the ground or anything. Ending up almost killing a guy, ran out of ammo, someone on another team put like 5 damage into them, got the kill, and got to kill me for free (because I was low and had only my fists to fight with).
Times like that absolutely suck. Because those moments feels way less about my abilities and skill as player and more about how lucky or unlucky I am. And, yeah, I know you can say "Well, that's BR for you" and all that. Well, fair enough, but I will say I like Apex despite it being BR, not because of it. It's actually the only game in that genre I've found palatable (though, I do want to give Fall Guys a try).
Point is, when you get days like I had yesterday, it can really sour you on the game. And it does get frustrating when a lot of this stuff feels out of your control. Whether it's the RNG loot, the matchmaking, things like the no fill bug, server issues, etc. All things that have far less to do about your skill as a player, and more about whether or not you got the short end of the stick that day/match/whatever.
Obviously, them fixing things would go a long way. Whether that be the servers or Legend bugs or whatever. But another thing that would help is for them not to make exclusive weekly challenges as much as possible. Yeah, I get why things like "Get Top 3 with XYZ Legends" needs to be BR only. But there's no reason things like kills, weapon damages, etc, need to be exclusive to a particular mode. It's doable in both and should be achievable in both. That small change alone would go a long way into making my (and other people's) experience with the game, much better, right now.

I definitely agree with you.
Dropping in a place with other, many, teams just ensures that chances of finding anything useful are drastically reduced.
Sure, you may gamble on the fact that the other teams are bad, or that they have quitters. That would only be a gamble.
It mostly works if a player is a super pro, but even they die without a gun.
If anything can be learned from competitive (not ranked, ALGS type of things), despite how boring competitive is, is how they land to make sure they have a fair chance of getting at the end of the match.
Even though kills matter for the final outcome, they prefer chilling in a spot until either challenged, or they need to move on because the ring pushes them.
Since kills matter, why don;t they just Rambo their way through the lobby?
Why all those pro players do not drop on each other? Why they do not drop 10 teams in the same spot? Why do they share ammo and bats?
Because making sure to have a fighting chance, and keeping your team mates efficient is the priority, despite the value kills may have.
