So you can use these things to your advantage here is how.. Let's say you're in a fight and you need to revive someone or heal up. If you keep your back up to the flare, you can throw a heat shield down so it's half way into the flare.. That will give you the really fast heals which can come in clutch during a fight.. It's almost as good as the quick heal gold armor.You can also use the flares to protect against flanking amongst other things.. Most squads do not want to go near them. For as much as hate as I've given them. They might not be as bad as we have made them out to be.The wooshing is gone which helped this game mode out a TON. Anyone else been able to use the flares to their squads advantage?

I am happy that flares and mobile respawn beacons no longer take a backpack slot. Most people won't pick up either otherwise.

@DoYaSeeMe The issue isnt trying stuff. The issue is being forced to play it because there is no pubs.

@hayhor Well, I did see a difference in a few, even though I'm on one of the busiest data centers, Frankfurt. And it's not just that. Before queue times increase, SBMM gets ineffective, as the pool of players is thinned out and there are higher chances of getting high ping players in the lobby or getting into a more distant match server.Personally, I wouldn't mind the LTMs to be separate, but in that case I would want them to be more extreme, to the likes of Winter Express, A&D or Shadowfall. But most of these had issues towards their final days, a lot of leavers, same players in the lobby, teamers, cheaters, etc..

@DarthValtrex I mean, you can do the same with the normal ring as well. Partially even more efficiently because you can predict the ring much better during the match. The only advantage ring flares can give you is blocking off paths that you could usually get raided from. Had this happen to me a few times. A ring basically spawned between two cliffs, so I had to focus only on one path mostly.When pairing heat shields with gold armor, you basically have a heavily efficient way of healing yourself mid-combat. Whilst rare, it's a hugely effective strat to quickly get yourself healed up. Would be nice though when the game would prioritize minor heals over large heals when gold armor is equipped, so I don't have to hold the heal button first and then select the right thing. That's wasted time. But in almost any other case, major healing items are dominant. At least I wish that gold armor would increase the use time of major heal items by like... 10% or something.

I don't know if I want them as a part of the game at least not as big as they are now. But if there was some benefit to entering them I could potentially see them being interesting.

@DarthValtrex The heat shield and the "survival slot" is a welcome addition. I just hate the one huge ring instead of the multiple smaller ones.

@DarthValtrex I just don't see the point of it, the pace in apex pubs already pretty fast compared to any other BR, if the purpose of the flares is to reduce camping, then the devs are completely clueless, which they are.

If they want to have the flares, put it in ranked, not the other way around, so people wouldn't camp so much, which probably would pissed so many people off including me.

For me personally, the flares just too inconvenient most of the time, it makes me harder to loot in early match, in some cases, I couldn't find cover to heal because the flares circling the buildings and I'm running out of heat shield, even when I have it, it didn't help much cause enemies can still shot you.

This reminds me of PUBG's red zone, which one of the reason why the game is dead.

@DarthValtrex I have totally nor problem with those flares. The first 2 rounds you can just walk around them, no problem. I manage to have some nice kills because they didn't expect someone shoot them from flare direction.

They give some spice to the game

I honestly think the Ring Flares would be kinda good if there was a way to neutralize them for rewards and if they were rather rare occurrences. Like being able to pop down a heat shield at the center of the heat flare, interact with the impact point with some kind of device every legend gets, neutralize the heat shield and get some high-tier loot. Or maybe the initiator of the ring flare neutralization immediately upgrades to red evo shield.

@DarthValtrex I still hate the flares and do not see the point. It is essentially more RNG in the game. Ring prediction and movement
to it is a skill.

One of the things I absolutely like about Respawn is that they keep doing risky experiments. Obviously, there will be things that people hate, it's impossible to like everything. But. if it would be up to the players, this game would become stale in no time, because people don't like changes. I'm a bit disappointed in some of you forum elders, I thought you did get the picture after all these years...

@DoYaSeeMe As you said, not everyone can like every bit of experimental content respawn release. I completely agree with that, but then it raises the question of why force said LTM's down peoples throats?
Let the figures do the talking with regards to how successful a LTM and the content it contains is.
