Here's the problem: Let's say you create a sophisticated AI to detect cheaters. The cheat devs will then just find ways to humanize their cheats to fool the AI. It becomes a never ending game of cat and mouse just like the current system. As for the ISP and police actually caring about individual cheaters, dream on. The world has way bigger E-security issues to worry about than some guy cheating in online games.
As for AI detecting hackers, its all nice idea until you realize its not free and there must be someone to fund that and thats why its not super spread as investors are interested in profits and they dont see hackers a problem enough to invest large sum of money into AI

its not hard to hide your adress so calling police and contacting ISP would end up into someone else doors meaning its stupid idea, also as laws go that would apply only to software creators more like than users.

It is not hard to find the IP, even if youre using tricks. Ever trick can be beaten just you need to know how to do it. That is why Security is a separate industry, just like every other department of the industry.
We don't have to figure out how AI works and not. That is not our job. And the price. That is the job for EA and the game devs, not us.
They have to stop neglecting it, and start working for the proper solution that makes our games FUN again.
Besides, you already pay for this particular thing: Namely a fair game with fun gameplay where everyone is equal. But not, currently, hackers are winning the game and killing the fun.- _4OP3_7 years agoNew Vanguard
Just look at Apex Legend's general Discussion.
Hackers.. Chineese Hackers... Proof for hackers inside...
Every game dies nowadays due to hackers (that is PVP based I mean). Division 2 will be exactly the same as Division 1, we start playing enjoying, entering Dark Zone, Bang! Wallhacks, dmg hacks, end we supposed to "report".
All the crap all over again. Every year, every game. If people won't call out the Game industry to step it up, we do this every year, we pay for the game, enjoy until honeymoon over 1 or 2 weeks, and then put the game on the shelves and spend our money on another game.

Some games die to hackers.... Good example is "All Points Bulletin" back then (extremly good game but after some weeks infested by hackers).
Other games devs take our reports seriously and don't hide them and turn into successfull games after an intial drop due to hackers.... Good example here is rainbow6😕iege.
Apex devs and EA need to take a stance on this problem instead of staying silent... People are getting more and more mad at both companies and wont buy into future games if nothing is done in this one right now.
Again a good example is ubisoft with rainbow6.... First stayed silent, even cheating was rampant and people got realy realy mad.
After some time decs changed their mind and have been very open and admitted there is a cheater problem.... They then implemented fairfight and battleeye, let it collect data 2 month and then the huge banwave came with every name of every single cheater announced public ingame.
People got so happy again that suddenly the playerbase started incresing again very fast and now this game is already in its 4th year and still successfull.
There are still some cheaters left, but they get banned fast and ypu only meet them in 1/100 matches
