Open letter to Devs regarding SBMM

      Hey Respawn first of all thank you for this game, i seriously love it. That is the reason i wanted to do this letter, because i feel is very neccesary and lots of people are talking just the same all around the internet. SBMM, very hot topic right now, i feel like we hardcore players are suffering it the most for obvious reasons, i mean high level pubs are really hard to play, i have 2.9 kd in this season, im a pretty decent player, and this lobbies just aren't fun. Now is practically impossible to get away with a hotdrop win (unless u in a premade predator squad, like ive seen) simply because lets say if ure lucky and survive capitol city, you cant even loot before another diamond premade squad comes at you. I seriously doubt that SBMM  implemented in this way is beneficial, even for less skilled players. Its taking away the core gameplay of this game in pubs, that intense gunfight rotating etc.. is gone. The most annoying thing without a doubt is that i cant play with my noobie friends anymore, they just dont enjoy it, and i totally get it they cant do nothing but hide, the enemy has probably 8k kills more than them. Queuing solo is also not an option anymore, im gonna get paired to premade predator squads talking through discord, while 9/10 times im playing with 500-1000 kill random players who disconnect at first death. Of course i win sometimes, but its not at all thanks to my skill or my good gunplay, it is now pure 3rd party luck, and of course landing pretty cold.

     I was pretty bad at this game when i started i did only win 5 games with my main in season 1, i could have won more with SBMM on? Probably yes, those wins where total carries by 20kill 4k dam players, but seeing them playing so well is what got me attached to this game and keep improving into my 7k kill Wraith. Now in lvl 5 lobbies(ive played one game) these newcomers dont even know what to do, they get killed by the ring, they are not even healing, they standing in corners with an 3x sight on a alternator, i mean xD do you think that these people will be the same as me and play the game for 1000hours? I seriously think no Respawn. I feel that a balance adjustment is urgent to this system, not a total termination, but a serious adjustment.

     My main 3 suggestions are, distribute predator-diamond players more around different lobbies, dont make the game so hard that is not even fun for anyone, for example by bringing more mid level players to the match. Mix newcomers with two midlevel players, and hardcore players with two newcomers, i understand that you cant return it to random ,i get it, but make it so they can improve too and watch a good player on his team. To finish, i ask you to please adjust regardind premade squads, thats the worst of all, its not fair for solo players even if we re good to get in the lobby with 5-6 premade hardcore squads, its really very frustrating.

    @x_LaggyPasta_xYou're pretty new to the forums 🙂.

    FYI, before the SBMM craze, it was full with:

    - lots of players complaining about being teamed up with players of either too low or too high skill level, resulting in toxicity and failure;
    - many players tired of being melted unfairly over and over again by pro players coming in to drop 20 bombs and 4K damage (pub stomping);

    Also,  YT and other streaming channels were filled with dozens of  20+ kill 4K+ damage videos daily.

    @DoYaSeeMe And watch as the core base of dedicated players leave. SBMM in a BR game that depends on RNG to obtain weapons and gear is a recipe for anger. In other games where everyone has the same gear at the start it doesn't matter as much. Another issue is that as you get better so do other players which creates a zero sum game. It's not fun.

    @x_LaggyPasta_x I definitely agree with the sentiment that you can't play with noobie friends anymore.
    I have 3 friends that I have played games with on a regular basis for the past 4 years and have become really good friends with. We played games like CoD, Ark Survival, PUBG, and Apex Legends. However, a couple of them just couldn't compete at the same level as the other 2, so over time they just quit playing Apex out of frustration because they were getting pulled into increasingly more difficult lobbies that they couldn't compete with.
    So it sucks that I can't play my favorite game with some of my best friends simply because I outmatch them in skill.
    I hope that the devs change or add something to this game so that I can play this game with my friends once again.

    SBMM whiners are full of crap.

    I just watched Mendo completely dumpster pubs lobbies. The enemy players play like bots.

    Yet keep maintaining that SBMM sweat lobbies are a thing when even pro players never get into those sweat lobbies.

    I'm just not buying it.

    @Wingmannedbro That is because Pros are on a completely different playing level than your average, good, or even great player. So, of course, they make it look easy, just think of how many more hours they have put into this game.

    @x_LaggyPasta_x I agree with what you're saying problem is that the streamers an pro players have caused this because like someone said the amount of videos on you tube of them getting 20/30 kill games is just stupid them sort of skilled players should get f**ked off to there own lobbies an feel are pain.
    Still watch it all the time watch viss playing it looks like aim bot he that good never seems to miss a shot that's why SBMM was forced upon us it will destroy the game in the long run 100% seen it before

    @x_LaggyPasta_x So let me get this straight, you want easy games, in which you can go around and PUB smash lower skill players.. That in your mind is practice for them that will make them better. That's not unfair for them?

    But when you're matched against players of equal skill.. It's completely unfair?! That's not practice for you to improve your skills and get better?!

    How exactly are the lower skill players supposed to get better when they are constantly getting melted by high skill players who miss no shots? While they have a hard time getting half the clip to register?

    How are they supposed to get better at looting when they are in lobbies with players who can clear 3+ buildings in the time it takes them to loot 1?

    "My main 3 suggestions are, distribute predator-diamond players more around different lobbies, dont make the game so hard that is not even fun for anyone," do you have any idea how hard it is for the lower skill players to survive against Diamond and Predators? Do you realize that makes the game miserable for the lower and even medium skill players?

    So because the game is to hard for you with SBMM, you want to the game to hard for everyone else..

    Pro's get bippity bopped in predator ranked lobbies all the time. A vast majority of players in that skill bracket are not signed or have any desire to enroll in esports.
