If the lazy over-corrections keep going, when they do finally correct the Pathfinder models so you can hit what you can see : he'll just be unplayable. As this thread has shown, when the whining about the hitbox doesn't cut it it just metastasizes into whining about his abilities because people have gotten too used to blaming Pathfinder's OPness for their losses instead of saying "I could have shot/moved better there".
Adding these weird non-balance counter-incentives to him instead of fixing the problem is like jailing the wrong person for committing a crime. The real criminal is still out there causing problems - i.e the crap on his models that you can see but not hit. Same as with Wattson's backpack.
While no one is concentrating on the real issue with PF, Respawn are going to keep making the same mistake with other characters and we're just all going to have more stuff we can see but not actually land hits on.

He can stay as he is. I've started to main him. You do not get hit as much in fire fights. It seems "A/B" strafing is more effective, and the get away speed of the grapple is second to none.
Something is broken with him, but sack it, I'm just using him now. There are zero drawbacks to using him.
- 7 years ago@Silz616 There are zero drawbacks to using most characters. They all come down to how you use them and playing to their strengths.
It 'seeming' like A/B strafing is more effective isn't exactly conclusive. Main him for a while - you'll get cleaned up by the same amount of shots you would playing anyone except caustic/gibbles, with the only difference being afforded by grappling away if you can do it well.
You won't be able to rat away through buildings as well as Octane or Wraith, especially since you're tall enough that you practically fill the doorways and PK peekers won't miss.
Use one of the legendary skins though if you want to play for an advantage - because that's where it is.- 7 years ago

Yes I can "rat away" with grapple, without losing health or by being tracked easily at ground level while Phasing or Ulting. He's hands down the go to legend lol.
I could feel Lifelines lowprofile debuff straight away. I live longer as Pathfinder.. However you want to paint it to tell yourself you are not at an advantage using him, but you are. I know I am when I'm using him.
I'm maining him as of the weekend. I'm not making any excuses for using him either. He gets hit less, with amazing movement at zero cost. It's a no brainer that I have over looked due to me "liking" other characters. As much as I love Lifeline and Octane, they do not hold a candle to PF.

@Silz616Rat away is just the quickest way I can say what I mean about a way of moving, my posts are often long enough 😛 It isn't something I keep reserved for specific players or legends so if it's derogatory then it's an equal-opportunities slur at least 😛
I played Pathfinder before the LowProfile thing, and after, and I felt the difference. When I played Lifeline I didn't notice it as much - probably because I don't play Lifeline anywhere near as much as Pathfinder.
If the argument goes that the LowProfile debuff isn't noticable on Pathfinder : there'd be no resistance at all to removing it, as it does nothing, yeah? You can't have it both ways. It can't be a useful balancing mechanic for an OP character one second, then not actually do anything the next.[edit] - I have to say this insinuation that I'm here to defend my ego as though its massively invested in my Apex playing is getting really tiresome. I'm here to talk about the game and the balance of it, not to convince myself I'm really good by saying the character I'm playing is somehow better or worse. I'm interested in the truth of it. You're saying you're switching to Pathfinder specifically because you say he is OP - I did exactly the opposite. I mained him when his hitbox was massive and ANYONE could hit him. I like the character more than the others, not because he's OP but because I like the way you have to play him to do well and I like moving fast. For my friends who main Gibraltar, Wraith, LL and Octane - it's not the same. They prefer their characters.
