Pathfinders Grapple Ability

The problems I've had with the Pathfinders grapple effect is mostly when you grapple head on. the player that you grappled is just going to shoot you in the face till you knocked out.  There is a couple ways you can fix this problem. One is by giving a stun or immobilize effect to the grapple effect which I think would be best. Another would be an added the distance to the grapple. Lastly possibly when grappled the player grappled would fall to the ground on their back to be pulled in.
