Rank is meant to test your consistency while playing against players with the same skill level as you. Players can get lucky and climb pass their skill levels rank and that is when demotion comes into play and bring them back down to where they "belong" or atleast until they get better at the game.

@Daze623 The only consistency in ranked is trash teammates. I don't want to suffer because I end up constantly getting 1v3'ed. So if I get into a slump in regards to teammates and can't repeatedly cover my entry cost I should get demoted? How does that make sense? Not everyone 3 stacks so that's not a viable solution.

I do get those teammates a lot too but when I get good teammates I usually take full advantage of it and drag them around to fights till we get 6KP and then we'd chill for the rest of the game.
Also if you get demoted cause of bad teammates those players will get demoted too sooner or later you'll end up playing with teammates that are decent at the game and those that aren't will still stay in lower ranks. Who knows how it will work out maybe I'm just used to rank that have demotion cause I did play a lot of LoL rank solo before playing Apex.- @Daze623 Apex is definitely a weird one in terms of the ranking system and now you've said it idk why it's not like other games 😅🤣
True, sooner or later but I haven't got the patience to grind out ranked like that. And what about the guys that can only play an hour or two a night? They're screwed.
