I agree with the OP, everyone takes a break from ranked game every now and then, either having a bad day and not playing with the best performance, or just wanna chill and play with less tension and focus, but that doesn't mean that i want to get abandoned in the first 5 mins and lose the game and totally waste 10-15 mins without at least proper amount of kills.
They should just remove any exp gains from playing a match if you leave early in standard mode,hit peoples battle pass progression. 😛
If you throw leaver penalty into standard mode the player base would drop horrendously. 😛

You think so? Even a mild lockout with weekly reset? I mentioned no longer than an hour as an absolute upper limit, but it might as well be 30 min.
I think people will just adjust their behavior, at least, a vast majority would. MOBA's do exactly that, and those games have tons of players.
With the sheer difficulty in getting a cohesive team on this game i reckon so yeah, I'm just as guilty as everyone else for leaving standard mode if i get a crap squad.
Obviously i could be wrong but we have quite a whiney player base on apex unfortunately lol. 😛
