@E9ine_ACAs I said before, there was an Nvidia driver update rolled out a few days ago. There are a lot of players that use Geforce cards, specifically 20 and 30 series, so it's not a stretch to have thousands of people affected if the latest drivers are buggy.
Usually operating systems force apps that freeze to close and throw some errors. Drivers have a deeper level access, so if they have issues, they can crash or freeze the system (by corrupting the registry, overheating, etc.). That's where we, the "computer people" look at first when we see freezes.
Sorry if I seem blind to you. I kind of am blind, since I don't get any crashes on my side.
- E9ine_AC5 years agoHero+@apostolateofDOOM I am saying... I told him already no updates whats so ever has been pushed on my machine. I manually have to update my machine hardware myself. Yet he keeps talking about update this update that. Yet he keeps ignoring the fact that even those on this post back my claims up as well as many other posts and such. I am not sure whats going on with him. lol
- 5 years ago@apostolateofDOOM It's as they say, "devs don't have a clue" :P
Or maybe I know how to stay out of trouble. My PC hasn't crashed in years, I even get the feeling that Cyberpunk 2077 will run without a glitch on it (may never know if it indeed does, the shooting experience in that game looks horrendous). Also, the decades of "pc person" and development experience really change the perspective, I've learned to never take things for granted, to lower or have no expectations and do my own research before judging. - 5 years ago
@DoYaSeeMe Development and software aren't my forte.. All i can base my opinion on is personal experience and compare it with the way other developers have dealt with their issues and that's where Respawn majorly lacks in comparison to other developers and still continues to do so. Why it baffles me when you, as a dev, defend them so much when even others in the industry say they could be doing a much better job in some aspects or you deny/dismiss issues that basically everyone has at points of instability over the past 2 years.
You're like an undercover damage control agent. 😛
Everyone treats Apex like it's a start up company that's learning on the go and while Respawn might suggest that being the case with a live service, that's not entirely true.. They might have a ''complex environment'' to work with but most ''content'' being skins with a lot of assets being imported and evidently copy/pasted when constructing the maps it comes to us as if it's a skeleton crew mainly focused on events and skins that's fudged together in time constraints rather than a quality game experience by a brand new AAA studio + all the funding that followed, dedicated to just Apex, apparently.
I have no expectations so not to be disappointed but i set a high bar of what i (even in my very limited knowledge of game development) know is possible. Especially when i see them making the same mistakes over and over that they had ample feedback on but chose to repeatedly ignore.
CP77 looks sexy on max settings but it's got Metal Gear Solid? kind of optional elements in it with all the sneaking/hacking, combined with all the other issues you would expect from a Bethesda game. Definitely overhyped and doesn't satisfy the reptilian part of my brain but worth the play i guess.. Still only a quarter of the way through + side missions as i haven't had time. Just waiting to see what the future has in store for it DLC/multiplayer.
