@MandatoryIDtagBut what about those times I want to leave? I left a few tonight intentionally.. Killed 2 people, squad mate did a big fat 0 damage. He did not even work as a bullet sponge. He comes running up to the death boxes swipes everything purple/gold before I have a chance. I tell him you can drop the loot you just stole or I'll leave the match. He did not drop it, so I just left the match.
It's the only way we can punish loot goblins and it's a problem in this game. Yeah I get rounds with people who are really chill about loot/death boxes. But the loot goblins are typically 1. not that good and 2. unpleasant to play with. I feel like most people are good about loot, I had quite a few the night before who were on the same page as me. We would take turns on the death boxes unless ring was closing then it was a "you take that death box I got this one, need anything?" then we would trade once we made it to circle.
I suppose the other option is for me to just play with them. Let them die take the loot back and not respawn them or just deal with it. Sometimes it's not a huge deal, but when I'm running a R-99 and have no mag, they take the mag... I'm not going to be happy. First round the mag is not a huge deal but as it becomes later rounds and you start bumping into purple armor, that mag becomes insanely important.
@DarthValtrex Well if it was a karma based system, You earn positive karma for sticking around, negative for leaving.
So if you're only leaving the occasional match it wouldnt really matter at all, as all the full matches you play are offsetting it.
It's a more forgiving system than the soft bans of ranked which is a better fit for casual lobbies, you're just getting what you give back. 😛
- DarthValtrex6 years agoHero (Retired)@MandatoryIDtag Here is one reason i know people leave after they have been killed. They don't want to hurt their KD and the odds of pulling off a successful respawn are typically not that great, unless you have a really really good player.
I have friends who leave PUBS with randoms once they are downed because they don't want to negatively impact their KD. My friends and I are decent and even we struggle with respawns. It depends on the map (KC is much harder to respawn on), how late in the game it is and so on.- 6 years ago
@DarthValtrex I get that, but I'm sure this has happened to everyone.
I've had games where i've been deathboxed with no kills, and actually managed to crank 3 or 4 kills after being respawned.
You could always just jump on mic or use the text chat to say "Don't respawn me please" you're already dead...its not going to impact your play lol. 😛

I can't imagine after all this time that they would bring in any kind of penalty for leaving a game in pubs. A lot of players would see this as a negative. Some people would stop playing the game because of this. I would possibly be one of them.
The main reason I quit games early is when my teammates go solo. I don't wanna play solo so I will quit and start again. This happens to me A LOT! If I have to wait an extra few minutes because I have quit the game then it will put me off playing Apex and I'll play something else instead.
The community is at an all time low as it is right now with all the bugs and sound issues etc. Can't see them making the game worse on purpose at the moment. Doesn't make sense
