To me this just seems like a really bad way of trying to balance or change meta, I already lost two of my favorite weapons Devo/PK, and now R99. While they * buff SF (the weapon that every goddamn aimbotter use).
So what did I replace Devo-PK with, R99. Great way of "Mixing" up the meta guys. What will I replace R99, Prowler. You are not even giving us decent options to replace this slapstick "meta change" of yours. You just narrow it down even further...
And after next season people will cry about people only using Prowler, what will you do then - remove that aswell, just let people use P2020 and call it a meta fix?
Are they high?
I think the most fun meta / weapon balance we had was in Season 2. When there was actually a good variety in the meta.
We had PK, Wingman, R99, R301, Alternator/Re-45 with the disruptor, Havoc-Devotion with turbo, Spitfire and Longbow.
And I liked that there were some setups such as Devotion with a turbo that had a risk/reward to them. As finding the turbocharger was hard, but so was finding energy ammo - but if you did manage to plan ahead and go for it, the reward was high.
Honestly, I am worried that if the r99 is pulled from normal the people that use it but struggle with the recoil from distance are going to figure out how good the R301 is from distance and never go back to the meta gun they struggle with. 😂
- 6 years ago@hayhor I was a Devotion And Spitfire main when I first started. I didn't like R301/R99 back then. Switched to R301 around s2, and then switched to R99 around S4. So I am pretty well versed with both. But yeah, haven't used R301 in a while. I think I will use Volt instead of switching to R301 honestly.
