Ranked matchmaking

I just got to plat 1 on euro servers, and have not had a single current diamond (or upwards) player in my lobbies.

Sure past diamonds and masters, and the more obvious past pred dive trail, but none current..

Btw current preds are just the top current masters, so no reason for them to not play in current diamond and master lobbies.

Encountered the first Diamond squads (6) in Plat 1 at 633 rp. But not a poi match.

Next match had 20 diamonds and poi 😁

Why does the game allow people who are bronze party up with silver and then end up being in entire gold lobbies? This is a consistent issue I’m having where I’m gold and then get a Bronze and Silver teammate. Why?
