@hayhor the 100 bonus points will not help, all that much. In fact I just believe it is a kind of slight of hand illusory joke the magician has performed to make you feel good about ranking up.This will just be doubly frustrating when your next 3 games are unlucky and go south. 

Gold four entry cost 39, lose first three matches in your new rank, with no RP gains, 39X3=117 which will mean a big fat de-rank.

I believe I am right. Like you say nice bonus without it and one bad game = de-rank the bonus is that 3 game buffer.
