Re: Apex ranked lag

Hi there, @Itsaweir.

Let's see if we can find out why you're lagging so much. We'll start with the basics. First, I'd like you to power cycle your equipment with the following steps: unplug your modem, router and console. After 2 minutes plug in the modem and router. Let them come back online completely. Then plug in your console and start it up. Let me know if that helps or not. Thanks!

  • It did not, I've also tried powering down the game console, checked for updates, and restarted the game a few times.

Thanks for trying that. What system are you on and do you use a wired or wireless connection?

  • Xbox one x. It's wireless, I've been playing like this from the first season

Is it possible to switch to a wired connection or is your router too far away? If it's too far, is there another TV or monitor you could move to that can use a wire? I'd just like to find out if this is due to being wireless or if it's something else.

  • The router and the Xbox sit side by side, I've tested the connection on the Xbox and it's running 68+ mbps

Can you use a wired since they are right next to each other? Speed isn't the issue. Wireless is unstable regardless of the speed. Can you switch to a wire and do a full power cycle of your modem/router and console?
