Re: do you think the Fuse buffs will change anything?

@Swarth2300 I don't get what you mean by that. If you stick a KC on someone it sticks and they run around with the clusters firing all over them. I posted a video the other day of a suicidal Rev who got stuck pretty good.

The problem with Fuse's ult is like Darth says, people assume it's like Bang or Gibby's ult - mostly about damage. It much more versatile than that. I've used it several times to move enemies off of high ground, or to create a barrier so I can safely heal, revive or respawn. It is best for dumping on third party fights and then picking off enemies with long range weapons.

The main issue is it's not a true ring of fire - it always seems to leave gaps that enemies can run through, plus it stuns and slows your own TMs which is a bit daft.

@EdwardDLuffymaybe i am insane but i thought if you stuck someone it didnt follow them around and just exploded around the area where you originally hit them, i swear i have stuck people with his tactical and they just ran away and had around 20 damage done to them

i remember early on when fuse was released ragtagg was pretty much sitting in the fire and not taking any damage so i dont know if that has been fixed, it is a versatile ult but at the same time most of my normal abilities can do the same thing as his ult(as in move enemies off the high ground, but you are right about creating space with his ult)

i find if there is 2 or even sometimes 3 enemy groups fighting and you just yeet his ult in that area it will do work but that isnt the most common thing

maybe this is too much but i wonder if fuses tactical tagged enemies it hit if that would change much, that is more a recon character kind of ability though and fuse obviously isnt recon

  • @Swarth2300Here's the suicidal Rev video (fwd 1 min):

    https://gamerdvr.com/gamer/edwardelric6529/video/132395111

If you get a '10' on impact that means you've hit an enemy and it's stuck to them. The enemy cannot run away from the KC (because it is stuck to them) but they can run away from the impact of each of the four individual clusters (because the clusters fire close to the original cluster but not on top of it) so if they get lucky (as Rev did here) a cluster can do less than 10 damage - one of the clusters only does 5 damage. However the enemy can also run directly into a cluster and get both the damage and some minimal aftershocks (if a piece of a cluster sticks to an enemy it does 1 fast tick damage for a number of ticks (depending on the state of the cluster when the enemy ran into it)). So, in total it was 10 for the impact then four clusters that did 10, 10, 5 and 16 damage - total damage 51.

If you get stuck by a knuckle cluster run away as fast as you can in a straight line as then the mini-clusters do the least amount of damage (as you are always running away from them) ... unless I'm the Fuse who fired it in which case just stand perfectly still for ten seconds ...

If you stick it on an Octane and they immediately stim away in a straight line they will be out of harm's way when each individual cluster breaks away and then fires, so it is perfectly possible to land a KC on an Octane and to only get the immediate 10 damage but that's rare as some of the mini clusters are likely to fire slightly ahead of them.

@EdwardDLuffy thank you for explaining it in great detail that makes a lot of sense, i have done 156 damage with 1 use of his tactical so i know high damage is possible but i think that was very lucky since the entire enemy team was in a cargo hold but how you explained it made sense i was confused about it till now
  • @Swarth2300 Yeah, if you are really lucky the whole enemy team can run around getting impacted by the mini clusters. I think the maximum damage for a whole team is 202 but you'd have to be incredibly lucky for that to happen.

@EdwardDLuffy  Most people just camp inside the ring of fire, I rarely get burn by it.

One way to buff his ultimate is :

    1. The initial ring is slightly bigger but

    2. Then the ring is closing to 50% smaller.

So enemy has to figure out the shape of the ring, where he should move in to stay safe, this would create more chaos and panic.

This is good when enemy is hiding behind object since he will get trap and burnt as ring of fire closing.

    Note:

Today, they just chill, and giggle and do nothing and say what a dumb fuse ult.

  • @asukojoTo be honest, having a crappy ult is a good balance with the KC and launcher, both of which if you know how to use them and get good with them, are really good. I'm stoked for a double KC. I am really looking forwards to using one KC to blast away a door and the next to send inside, followed by a couple of arc stars.

If I am being chased by a enemy I usually run into a building, shut the door and launch the KC at the door. The KC is usually firing as they open the door and now I can add another KC on top of that. If I get it right I could have a 50-100 damage advantage before I've even started firing.

  • @asukojo i do think this is a very interesting idea, i was thinking a fire X in the middle of the circle or something so you cant just run in the circle without any issues but that might be a bit much, at least early game, late game with red armour the fire damage is minimal

@EdwardDLuffy i guess i got very lucky with that use of the tactical, there are not many situations where people are just standing next to each other not moving......i mean if they are looting like using a loba market its possible but even then you can run away because it takes a bit for the KC to start exploding

only one more random idea might be terrible but will not try to spam too much(in terms of ideas) but maybe someone who is hit by KC pretty much gets low profile for 10 ish seconds, so they take 5% more damage for 10 seconds, also if fuse hits himself with his KC he takes 5% more damage from all sources for 10 seconds, its unlikely to make a huge difference but it will help for clutch situations, i dont mind his ult being left as it is if KC is strong
