Re: Does Blocking People Help To Not Get Them In Matchmaking?
@Popa2caps You’re welcome. Some games implement a no-connecting link but honestly they’re far and few between from what I’ve seen. It’s mostly low-count competitive games.
Rocket League does this and even says it when you block someone. In Apex, before crossplay I’m sure I’ve blocked several hundreds XD and this was obv console block bound. Yet as I played the same times (especially early on) I either kept seeing the same ppl in killfeed (I randomly have a good memory of usernames, especially if I found them to be completely useless).
What I also was referring to was ppl I played with or else it’d be weird to block them, but if you play the same server for 7h+ every day you’re bound to see same ppl at least in your killfeed. But I also had ppl with whom I played matches and blocked them on xbox appear on my same team again. Maybe not the same day, maybe not same week (tho often it was same week) but I’d see them again, recognize the name, go to block settings to verify and yup, see their name.
Apex as a game doesn’t block them. It relies on your platform settings basically for a communication block. Thats why before crossplay if you blocked someone you could not hear them even if you didn’t mute them. Afterwards with crossplay it’s basically the same but I’m not sure if communication block is on tho as with this enormous pool size I’ve yet to come in contact with the same ps ppl twice (at least on my team).
