Re: Does everyone have aimbot or are they just that good?

@Smoking-Reefer

"i agree, for me its the mental strength to try assume otherwise otherwise this game eats you alive, especially solo q"

Well said. This is exactly the struggle.

"Or it could just be aim assist."

I've played on xbox for 23 years now. If aim assist did ANY of the things that the mnk people claim that it does then I'd be at algs, not complaining about the horrendous weapon mechanics in this game coupled to possibly rampant cheating. But no, I still have the same 25% acuracy I've always had. If there was any aim assist tricks to learn I'd have learned them by now.

    So your defense is that since you haven't learned how to use it to it's max potential, then nobody else has?

    Personally, All I want is a fair match up in skill, with mnk input, but Respawn has made it clear they don't care about casual players, and extremely don't care about casual mnk players.

    You should dig into aim assist more, learn how it works, maximize the 40-60% aiming the game does for you.

    That's quite literally how you get better at this game at this point.

    Watch videos that explain why it's broken, and use that to your advantage.

    Max potential? ANY potential.

    And I don't know what 23 years of experience counts for in your book, but for most people it's close to a career. I'm not mentally impeded, and I don't have any kind of palsey that makes my hands shake. I'm not blind. I don't know what other handicaps might be preventing me from reaching this amazing aimbot-like potential, but if you have any ideas about how many more hours or years I need to put in before I reach it then please feel free to let me know so I can clear my schedule.
  • I'm not accusing you of having an issue that would impede your gameplay.

    I have played mnk shooters for at least 15 years now and I'm still mediocre.

    I'm not here to judge you, I'm only saying that if you really want to get better, dig into aim-assist like your life depends on it.

    Learn how to use the literal 'Built-in aimbot that's been toned down' and max out it's potential, and you'll see your results improve.

    That's just how apex works/was designed, especially on a controller.

  • @reconzero I think it's down to ping. Sometimes I get shot around corners and it's frustrating. There were a few times where I backed up to cover before the enemy shoot, but somehow I still lost health...

    AA doesn't do anything either. I wish it did even half the things it is claimed to be able to do, but it just doesn't, no matter what bs setting I try. I switched to 0.4 as well, which feels better than 0.6. Still nothing compared to MnK, where despite not playing it as often, I can still easily Flatline people to death.

    If it doesn't do anything, why do we need it? Just turn it off 🤷‍♂️

    controller is still trash on every level compared to MnK..

    Is that why so many pros are switching to controller?

    Is that why Hal won ALGS on controller?

    Hal even complains that AA is OP, but I guess the only answer is that the mnk pros must have just been bigger trash than him and his trash controller and trash AA, huh?

    @4ccbf460f7b926b1 gotta be honest here, I don't know what these people are even talking about.

    They complain about AA but I just don't see it, no matter how much time and will I put into it. Seriously, where can I get one of these busted mythical controllers? Because I want one.

    @reconzerodo pro players chug adderal? no

    does it help like caffine? probably

    does it give competetive advantage? probably about as much as having 10 ping instead of 20 ping

    @AcidicSoda44031

    idk how much of a trueness it is to give aim assist credit to, when I search youtube about aimassist abusing it does start finding tutorials

    https://www.youtube.com/shorts/xqggXENTJhA

    I don't know though, I don't use controller I don't need to watch those

    @reconzerolike it probably lets the player you know... extend flow state or something, feel less tired or more energised after long play sessions, but like these things can be taken care of differently or in a more healthly way...

    @damsonwhufndthis I watched hundreds of these tutorials now, and I never came close to replicate any of the results shown. Make of that what you will.

    It only seems to work on the dummies in the firing range, and that is when they're standing still. As soon as they walk, AA goes out of the window, so I am not sure if AA even does anything anymore.

    Still, I would be interested to try other values other than 0.4 and 0.6. I would like to try 0.2 or 0.3.

    Still not sure if they are going to do anything but you can never know. All I know is that I routinely play better on 0.4 than 0.6, which only tells me that the higher it is, the more of a hindrance it becomes.

    @4ccbf460f7b926b1 it's all good bro. If you noticed you did better on controller in close fights then that's totally fine. I will never understand it though, but it's fine.

    @AcidicSoda44031you may not understand it, but that doesn't stop from controller players magically hitting 99% of their shots...

    we just got wiped in trios, their aim was quite good, low and behold, they were on a controller.

    @damsonwhufndthis

    I'm curious to know what is the basis of these opinions.

    "do pro players chug adderal? no"

    Directly contradicted by ImperialHal, a pro player.

    "does it help like caffine? probably"

    Which would explain why caffeine is in EVERYTHING, and adderall, an amphetamine, is a controlled substance. "It [adderall] is... used illicitly as an athletic performance enhancer, cognitive enhancer, appetite suppressant, and recreationally as a euphoriant." That's from wikipedia. Sorry I can't quote the PDR, but I don't have a copy just laying around. I'm not really sure how it is you can put these two substances on the same footing, but again, I'd like to know if there's something going on here that you know that I don't.

    @reconzeroyeah but they are similar, because both are stimulant, both affect brain to be in a more wakeful state, both increase dopamine and norepinephrine levels.

    The difference is Adderall is more of a perscription drug, while caffine can be bought in a supermarket.

    Both can have side effects, both can have diminishing returns on high or frequent doses, both can be addictive.
