@Asmodeus566 thanks actually i played few games during season 2 but back then the game optimization is so bad can't find proper settings weirdly i give this game another try on Season 13 and it run like smooth butter on the same laptop when season 2 happened

@BigMacAttack8u Best map for Pubs, worst for Ranked, the opposite to Stormpoint (Worst pubs map, best ranked map).

In my opinion, the most healthy thing for the game should be leave KC as a Pubs only map, and SP as a Ranked only map. Problem solved

@MrCarri-X I'm pretty sure I've asked this before, maybe even of you, but what is it that makes one map better for ranked and one better for pubs? How does one map play differently depending on which lobby you're in?

I used to love it all the way through the end of season 12.

Now I hate it. I wouldn't have believed you could change a map that much in a single update. But the way I used to use the map is no longer even viable. Change my mobility options OR shorten my timer. Don't do both at once. Bad Respawn. Off the sofa.

@reconzero I have lost more squadmates to the ring than bullets this season so far. That's weird.

@reconzero Well, Stormpoint is huge, a lot of POI's, a lot of loot, people can actually be fully kitted, enter fights and don't worry that much about third partying.
KC is the complete opposite, is a quicker map, with less loot and a lot of third partying. Stormpoint on pubs is kinda annoying, as everyone lands on the same 3 POI's and we have 4 squads left before ring 1 closes, and you don't see anyone until the last 2 rings.

Two maps that combine with different playstyles, SP is more campy, making it perfect for Ranked grinders. KC is more agressive, which makes it perfect for pubs, quick and entrataining matches.

Ps: I'd like to make a difference between fragments edge & SP because the size of SP is much bigger, which makes it much harder to find squads when the ring is big and there are not that many teams left.

Yeah, there's definitely an adjustment phase going on here. I'm even adjusting myself a little bit, grudgingly. But I still have to say, if I land in a map corner, as I often do, and the circle closes on the opposite corner... maybe I'll attempt the trip, but more likely not. The whole death march thing just doesn't have much appeal.

I appreciate the explanation. Since I don't play ranked I really have no idea what motivates people who do, and I have no conception of why anyone whould play pubs differently than ranked. In my book the point is to win regardless of the lobby. But I guess I can see how some players would find that "grindy."
