@NiedzwiedzioI know a lot of people who support the idea of “every match pitting you against your doppelgänger”. It’s difficult to achieve in BRs and much easier to achieve in games and mode with two opposing sides.
But when this convo comes up, I feel inclined to have people really consider the reality of this.
When everyone plays their exact equal, players tend to all exhibit the same wins ratios and outcomes. This results in players of all skill levels having the same outcomes.
Do you support equal outcomes in competitive activities? Do you believe under average players should win at rates similar to above average players (in pubs)? I have an issue with this proposal. I have always felt like a game’s non-ranked mode should be the place where everyone plays everyone. People seeking a tight, tournament like game should play ranked.
I dont concur, youre just saying this because youre master level and already playing the sweaty boys, if you were new to the game and met a pred you would quickly look to other games.
Did you ever try play a game without matchmaking before? its insane, try planetside 2 and just jump into the main fray (not the noob area). I am a strong believe to play one segment up and one segment down to give you some fun but still have the opponents that is better then you so you keep progressing naturally (then cycle if youre top, center og bottom matched). Still players under level 10 should be in its own group, and if game detects smurf, tag forever pred ranking or something to get them out of the bot lobby. If you ever seen a proper newbie lobby with the lest proficient players you would understand they need to be able to get the grasps of the mechanics before they meet a pred. I checked when helping my daughter starting apex, I played no weapons and no damage goal just to help her, I could dodge a full team of 3 for ages before they even hit me - thats just not fair to match against a master or pred.
