@OldTreeCreeperIt's virtually a shell of its old self. Last Control I'd try it but it was so bad, so I went with... Flatline, I think was in the same weapon rotation. Nerf it more and it'll be a squishy gun.
I never hear "nerf R301", despite it's ridiculously op. Can do some crazy **** with that gun that I can't replicate with any other gun in the game.

@CCbathwater The reason no one is complaining about r301 being OP is cause it's not OP. It's one of the most well rounded and balanced gun in the game.

@OldTreeCreeper Exactly, and if you are trying to win a stand up fight in the open against an LMG of any kind, you are doing it wrong.

The R-301 is fine where it is, and the spitfire needs a buff, I would say make it fire slightly faster, and reduce the mag size to 27->33->39->45,45

@Cro_Pittt So nothing? You could also do what is suggested by BigMac: Buff the Spitfire (and every other gun) so it can compete.
    Havoc: Nerf!
    Spitfire: Nerf!
    Flatline: Nerf!
    Devo: Nerf!
    Kraber: Nerf!
Despite them all being fine and "well rounded". R301 however: Zero recoil and capable of beaming enemies so far away that I can barely see them on my 55" OLED. But that's fine.

I see nothing wrong with the spitty. It'd my number 4 heavy gun option at this point.

I can't believe people are claiming there is nothing wrong with the 301 tho. It has been the easiest to use meta gun for so many seasons. It's actually shocking they haven't made it harder to use.

@CCbathwater The havoc is fine where it is at, and so is the flatline, the devotion is garbage already, and so is the kraber.
  • Removing the barrel stabilizer thus worsening the recoil of the Spitfire & reducing the hit distance I feel has nerfed the gun a little too far & it's for those reasons at times I prefer picking the Rampage than the Spitfire despite the Rampage  being slowerI feel it  is a liitle easier to control particularly over mid-range. Regarding the 301 despite many players I hear saying it has very little recoil etc etc i just don't see it myself with the recoil making it a little awkward to control in terms of getting most shots on target per clip/round.I just find myself taking 2 clips to down an enemy on average with the 301 whereas the Spitfire,Rampage,Flatline & Hemlok is usually 1 clip (mostly because they have bigger clip sizes). It just feels to me that the 301 needs a few more bullets per clip.

@OldTreeCreeper Fine, just make it more pricey in Arenas if you feel so heavily that a magazine twice the size of Texas with virtually no downsides isn't in need of a nerf. A little more recoil or something to account for the fact that its got so many bullets? Something. Cause getting held down to a single point because you cant run away when someone is spamming 3 spitfires at you is frustrating, and takes no thought on the enemy team.

I do like picking up the Havoc as my Secondary/back up weapon & was pleased they gave it a little quicker fire rate at the start of the season. The Devotion like the Havoc has always been a beast of a weapon up close & as a finishing weapon. But the nerfs the Devotion (worsening the recoil) & the buffs to the Havoc (increasing the fire rate speed) has just made the Devotion a redundant weapon to use because of how poor it handles now.

@Redmattgame The only thing changed about the Havok S13 was to reduce the initial recoil. Same fire rate as before.  Like many other players, I find I cannot shoot this weapon very well unless it has a turbo attached.  I had several drops this last week where I could have easily clutched up the situation with literally any other AR in the game, but the Havok was my only weapon and I failed.  I will take the L-star over the Havok off drop every time.  It's a bummer to me, as the Havok's stats are just so darned strong.

@pandareno1999 I'll take a havoc on drop every time. Just gotta dodge the enemies initial fire and then melt them.

I noticed in the most recent trailer it fired like a select fire was equipped and am hoping this happens again.
  • @hayhor Man, I had the high ground top of the ziplines looking down on Oasis lounge, and I failed three times to put any significant damage into these guys. At this range (say, 40M?) I could have easily gotten multiple knocks with any other AR.  I just suck with this rifle. I can do fine with it with a turbo, but my thumb just refuses to learn the timing for controlling the recoil without turbo.

  • I feel the issue is not the Spitfire itself, but all LMG's. They don't feel as if they belong to the game. I just don't like the idea of still being able to down one person if you missed more that 70% of your magazine... Acording to the weapon stat charts, you need to hit only a 24% of your bullets with the Spitfire and 20% with the Rampage (With purple mag and enemy with purple shield)
If you play against someone who hits their shots, LMGs will be very bad, because any AR has more DPS and will eventually knock you faster, but you must hit at least 40 to 50% of your shots, more than double the ammount. You can see these differences more at drop, usually someone with an LMG (no attachments) will defeat someone with an AR (no attachments).

@BigMacAttack8u Wouldn't that just be a flatline? Current hemlock is great as it is. I'm to the point if I have a 3x and know ill need a longer range shredder I'll keep a hemlock over a flatline now.

    @hayhorAutomatic Prowler would be awesome 😍 😍 😍

Prowler really needs the Select-Fire hop-up back in the loot pool to bring it back to relevance. It's an okay weapon as a burst but with the hop-up it's a different animal. As for Hemlock control when I encounter tap-strafers or enemies at mid-range in & out of cover I'll often switch to single fire,it's one of the few weapons in the game that has a pretty decent scope using iron sights.
