i use a lcd TV thats 1080p. but i set the resolution to 720p to increase the fps. i made a video showing two games, the first game is with the desktop at 1080p and the second game is with the desktop at 720p.
on the bottom left of both games is the fps, i play the games while in vr, using the directions in the video i made showing how to play apex legends in vr, and with nvidia experience recording.
the 720p game, while on the ground not in the air jumping off the ship, never hits below 60 fps. while the 1080p resolution hits 59 fps multiple times. both resolutions hit in the 60s fps but the 1080p hovers at 60fps a lot while the 720p dips to 60 fps rarely.
so by lowering the desktop resolution to 720p i increase the in game fps and so if i lower the game resolution to 720p i increase the fps.
