I agree, I have had similar experiences. I probably only win about 2-3% of the time when playing with 1 or 2 friends. When playing solo, I win probably about 6-8% of the time. I always have way better numbers playing solo as well (damage, kills etc). All of my 2k+ games are when I play solo.
- @aisthebestletter means your friends suck 😉

- @aisthebestletter I win way more with friends than without. Currently on 11.5% overall this season. I'd guess eith friends its like 15% for me. We get nasty predator teams in our lobbies and shouldn't as none of us are at that level. We just don't drop with them. Most die off as they hot drop but we keep an eye on who is champion and kill leader as the game goes on. We make sure to fight from good position. Many times we get rolled over but if sbmm didn't exist it would be even worse.

Y'all are lucky then cause even if i solo que im put in same lobbies with those i play against teamed up.
- @MandatoryIDtag There are balancing. When I get noobs in my lobby, I still get noobs in game, but when I have even one guy with kdr 2+.... aimbot fest!
- guys guys, you’re all wrong.
Games are childish. Respawn knows that and the general public knows it. That’s why ppl who call themself gamers have been ostracized and called nerds, freaks or perverts since the 90’s. Respawn knows gamers don’t have any friends so they make it more appealing to game alone than with friends.
If you group up with someone, Respawn has implemented a ‘prevent this regular person to fall in the gamer pit cause he has friends and is a valued member of society’ countermeasure that pits you against extremely sweaty ppl so that your team won’t play the game again and probably disown you as a friend worse than choosing oddball in GoldenEye, after which point you either go down the rabbit hole alone or go outside and function as a regular person.
Thats the essence of teamplay in Apex. I’m amazed you guys have not realized that yet. Well I’m off doing valued society things. Later nerds
XD

XDI get this is tongue in cheek but many of us are fully functional members of society. Both me and my friends are married with kids and hold full time careers. This is a hobby for me, which is why I'm not a super sweat playing 6+ hours a day for that predator flight trail.
- @TheTrafficKing You sir are not a gamer! As a functioning member of society you cannot be grouped together with those... things!
But yea, luckily for a while now ppl are changing their opinion about gaming and there’s not a stigmata like there was in the old days :P kinda liked those times tho xD.
Nowadays when you say you’re a gamer the reply is usually “ohhh cool, what do you play (on)” whereas in the 90’s and early 00’s it was met with a disapproving look and a “don’t get near my daughter” xD @TheTrafficKing Same with me dude,I'm leaving the house at 6am for work and getting home around 6:30pm, I'm putting in a fraction of the time these squads I'm playing against are yet somehow I'm deemed of an equivalent skill level.
Don't get me wrong I don't want to be noob stomping every match I join, thats boring. However a little variation in difficulty here and there would be lovely.

@TheTrafficKingThat exists already. Some sessions my win rate is over 10%, my daily k/d ratio reaches almost 2, while in others I go hours without kills. I've had sweaty fights, boring matches, wins with 0 kills, losses with 5-6-7 kills, games with 1800+ damage for 1 kill, 1400+ and no kills or barely above 500 damage for 8 kills. Also, I didn't notice any particular pattern, sometimes I had good games rolling for hours, other times consecutive wins and top 3 placements, wins at the beginning of my session, at the middle or towards the end. This is obviously a variation in difficulty, partly caused by SBMM and partly randomness.
- @DoYaSeeMe Pretty much my experience as well.
@DoYaSeeMeThis is the antithesis of my experience. Its almost always getting stomped with 0-2 kills. In a 3 hour night I would estimate about 60% of my games are killed with less than 500 damage and no more than 2 kills. 35% are 1-3 kills with 500-1200 damage. And maybe 5% are solid performances with 3-7 kills and 800+ damage. I also used to win 1-2 games a night. Now I might win one game every 2-3 nights. Sometimes I win two in a night and then I go a week without a win. Its ridiculously random to where I pretty much don't expect to win anymore.
Obviously I am not a pro but I experienced way more solid games in prior seasons and no I haven't gotten worse. The matchmaking was not this punishing until mid season 5 and this season its absolutely gone from bad to pure tomf*ckery.- aisthebestletter5 years agoSeasoned Ace@TheTrafficKing I could have written this exact reply. My experience to a tee.
