Re: PSA: Revive Lifeline first!

Why is it we’re always pointing the finger at “randoms” here? I mean please define randoms, cause the way I see it, I am that random player.

I solo queue, for the simple reason that I don’t have any friends that play Apex, and queueing up with the same players over and over just doesn’t appeal to me, I actually prefer the diversity.

That being said, now Diamond 2, should be hitting Master by the end of the split. Just ironic to me that randoms are always the ones frowned upon, but 99% of the time when I play pubs, I’m matched with complete potatoes, and 99% of the time, they’re in a party chat as a duo.

#RandomsMatter lol

I’d like to add, and I shared this a while ago on reddit, 12 out of 15 games in a row playing rank while I was Plat 1, I got matched with Plat 4’s or below, again, most of them being a pre-stack duo with no game awareness, no interest as to taking into account “the random’s” pings, or rotations. Guess who insta dies, and spam pings their banners, to an extent leave party chat, and enter game chat to * on the “random”.

This broken record behavior, and insinuations, is why I left this forum. Same *, different day.

    Regards,

    A Random.

Solid PSA. I'd even push the backpack bit higher, it makes such a big difference in a combat-heavy match.

@Gabrielmojo26 I'd interpret "random" in this case to mean a specific subset of solo queuers who are still learning the game, or who are experienced but don't follow good teamplay practice.

For my part I constantly encounter plenty random players who are solid or better, but it's the ones who stand out for bad reasons (much like some of the duos in your examples) who get the "random" tag.

@EA_David Don't mean to open up a can of worms here, but you mention players still learning the game.

Recently added a second account for my son to play on, stats don't matter all that much to me, hence he could have played on my account and screw them up all he wants, but that wouldn't be fair to the other players he would have been matched with on my level 500 account, hence a new account.

That being said, the amount of smurfs is overwhelming, half if not more than the lobby are smurf accounts, I watched him play, no level 4 player can crouch spam while firing if they're learning to play the game.

Did Respawn, or EA, ever consider maxing out accounts per IP addy? It's a serious issue when the game gets stagnant come mid season with nothing to look forward to, just a thought.

    Appreciate the approval!

I think the rant erm... announcement, was a chronological affair, if you read it back to front. the first point was what pushed me over the world's edge.

But also I have a slight. (SLIGHT) (okay maybe not so slight) level of acceptance regarding the Gold Backpack, as i mean look... it's gold, it holds loot, people get excited. It may blind or get the better of their common sense (and I've seen a surprising few who have let me have it.)

The problem with the other two issues is it's merely common sense/logic. It'd be a bit like wiping before you reached for some toilet paper.

@Gabrielmojo26  I suppose you're 100% correct with this post mate.

For me personally when I refer to rando's its specifically bad players. New players i can't hate on...it's not their fault they're learning the game. However if you've reach level 250+ and you're still playing selfishly there's something seriously wrong.

The way matchmaking works has basically placed any average or above players with teammates way below their own capabilities to maintain balance, all its really done is caused resentment between the playerbase.

It's not fair to just brand everyone with the same term, especially when it's taken on such toxic connotations. Going forward I'm going to try and take on board what you've said. 😛

No ill will on my end, simply pointing out my typical experiences as a solo player.

As for the level 4 backpack, of course lifeline gets it first and foremost, followed by a close second being Caustic, Mirage and Gibby are next in line.
That being said, when I dropped my level 4 bag to a caustic teammate and he said “nah I’m good, I have a level 3”, it makes me wonder if they actually utilize their passive, or ult, to their full potential.
