Yeah, dude I just hope they give us the R97.
The R99 is just a nerfed R97, but now since its going to be a carepackage weapon it can be overpowered, and first starting with the triangle hipfire reticle.
The triangle hipfire reticle removal was the biggest nerf to the R99.
And the R99 being a Carepackage weapon we can get the triangle reticle and get an easier hipfire. - @hhnbbfggty66 How can you tell it's a nerfed R97? R97 is from TitanFall 2 where pilots go down in a couple of hits. Its not a shield cracking, bullet sponging BR lol
Does this mean the Peacekeeper is coming back out? I hope this isn't happening. I'm not an R99 fan, but I'm not a fan at all of them cycling weapons into the care packages. Maybe if they cycled them back out more frequently, like say every half season. No, not even then. They should have left the care package weapons alone...Mastiff, LStar, Kraber.
This is not the way to change a meta. It's just going to make people mad who legit like the R99 or any other gun they decide to exile into the care package. And at this point, people may have spent some good money on skins and charms for these weapons....looking at you Pal 9000 Peacekeeper with MRVN bobblehead charm...*sigh*.
The way to help the meta is to make more options viable in the current loot table, not take away weapons. Make the Volt good enough that it can compete with the R99. Make it so players don't feel they have to hunt for that R99 because other options are legit as good.
And every time they push something to the care package, the result is we get a worse option in return after they nerf it. Devotion was a powerful option, especially with the hop up. It got sent to the care package, and the LStar has not measured up. Same with the PK-Mastiff swap. I'll drop the Mastiff for a Mozambique regularly. It's not been remotely an even swap.

I dont mind the R99 going to carepackage as long as we get the un-nerfed version.
I have been titanfall 2 since 2017 and I can tell you the R99 is a nerfed version of the R97. Because I used the R97 with Stim everyday for a year before Apex legends release.
And I can tell you the R99 is a nerfed version of the R97.
For 1. the R99 doesnt have the Triangle hip-fire reticle the R97 has making it hard as hell to hipfire the R99.
Back in 2018 I could hipfire and stim with the R97 like a beast!
I cant do the same with R99 due to the open cross hipfire reticle.
In comparison, its super hard to hipfire the R99.
Also the R97 had a large 40 round magazine making it easy to spray and pray.
Intially the R-Series weapons suppose to be hipfire spray and pray weapons dealing small damage, with large magazines and excellent hipfire.
A weapon truely used for high mobility spray and pray tactics.
Not Ads firing.
I just hope the carepackage R99 allow you all to get a taste of what the R99 suppose to be.SPRAY aNd PRAY!

Look at in Apex, its a throw away weapon. - @xx_Dante2k_xx Yeah it was a God tier weapon, but I never had the skills to use it in TF2.
I always stuck to the R99 + Stim, and Spitfire with shield pilot, and L-star with grapple pilot.
Sometimes CAR with pulse pilot. - @hhnbbfggty66 Yep I loved volt in TF2, you know what I loved too? THE CAR absolutely shredded gun in Titanfall absolutely insane dude, even wingman is very accurate compared to apex
@Elamami3440Yeah, the CAR was the default all around weapon in TF2. Great weapon was favorite for all around situations.
I never used the wingman, i never had skill for it, TF2 was too fast paced and 1 missed shot would quickly be punished.
You would be leveled or turned in to red goo in less than a second.@hhnbbfggty66I loved the wingman in TF2, even R101/ R201 was good weapon

I wish the devs would add the R101.
Its just the R301 with a default scope.
I hope they read this and add it. I am sad its leaving it will be a change that once again makes me log on less. It is only gun i enjoy using and shooting personally. Big hit as most other guns to me are trash.

Dude there's a lot of weapons I love in TF2 and they slowly adding it excited to see The Car it's absolutely perfect weapon man - @hhnbbfggty66 Even played TF 1, Remember Satchel Charges? If you played TF1 the Satchel Charges was destroying Titans very quickly, I think it's even In TF 2 idk didn't check i just played Charge Rifle cuz it was destroying titans and long range sniper. But for me using it only for titans cuz I don't like camping with sniper

Yeah, I think its an R201/301 with a simple 2.5x or 3x scope.

Its a change for the best.
People became too reliant on the R99. We need this meta change up.
Who knows the Volt may be better - @hhnbbfggty66 It really is not though. Mean while the biggest gun ran by actual cheaters gets a huge buff and reloads that much faster to aimbot down 2 teams in seconds. It is going to make the game even more toxic then it already is.
- @E9ine_AC Nah its great its being put in the supply drop. 90% of gun fights involve the R99 at the moment its so boring and stale. It will be a good shake up plus I enjoy the people crying. 😆
- @xx_Dante2k_xx You just said it. 90% of gun fights involve a 99. Not other weapons. If we felt they was even remotely decent to pick up it is what we would be running. Doing changes like this forces people to use what they dont like. Not that it truly matters but it does to me. Im not trying shoot bullets slug like im trying kill people and move to the next. Not that i cant with other weapons i do on drops ect but i like what i like.
- @E9ine_AC so thats a good thing then ? Absolutely not imo and no game should be dominated by one weapon. It just shows how single minded and how boring people are, the same with the Wraith pick rate.
If you can win with other guns I don't see the problem. I think its a great move and I look forward to season 6, this change if it happens might bring me back to the game. - @xx_Dante2k_xx Heh stil be dominated by wraiths with wingman with 301 either way all those are meta with a mastiff and boom still nothing changes. This does nothing for the game as 301 is just as powerful. I like the sound of 99 i like the look of the 99. I dont like fact i dropped over a grand for weapons skins i now wont get to use on certain weapons. Unless of course im lucky enough to find one on a care package. There are many reasons to dislike this change other then the damage of the weapon fire rate any of the sort. All guns deal damage and kill i run across more spitfire users with a mastiff then a lot other combos. You thought 99 was bad wait till these spitfire changes come in with these aim botters. =D
I love this change, I hate using the 99 because it is so easy. I actually used it last night for a game just for lulz and got 1600+ damage and 7 kills. What a joke of a gun.
