Re: Ragdolls, Bodies and In Game chat

If there was an open voice channel, the first thing I would do would be disable it. Accidentally talking into open voice instead of team is more than enough reason to never ever use it.

As for PubG, one of the first things I've ever learned in that game - always stay in team voice chat. I switched to team voice at start and I just generally check if I'm still on it from time to time just to be sure. There's no reason to ever switch to open channel, since noone will be on it (so no, you can't expect to distract anyone with loud sounds, not consistently enough, at least; but you can make the mistake of forgetting to switch back to team voice and eventually running into some1 in open channel...).

Switching to open would only make sense when playing solo, but since everyone is on team by default - it won't matter anyway (you'd just be talking to yourself).

And if you want examples of forced open channel, Hunt has it and ppl don't use it at all (well at least ones that are aware of how it works) - everyone's on Discord (why would you ever give enemies such advantage, when you don't have to?). So again, open channel quite useless.

Tldr;open voice chat channel ('proximity chat') is a useless feature that almost never gets used.
