@KyldenarI am EST, though I don't usually play too late at night. At any rate, I have no idea how to buddy up except through xbox live. Just let me know what to do and we'll give it a go. I am the world's worst teammate and I won't be offended at all if it turns out that one recon match is more than enough! Oh, and absolutely NO RANKED!!!

If by ratting, you mean finding a tiny crack in a rock, crouching down, and sticking it out there until the next ring? Damn right I do that!! If I am running duos and find myself a solo act, best to make it to #2 and hope the other guy didn't get a heat shield too. To quote General Patton, "No dumb (censored) ever won a war by going out and dying for his country. He won it by making some other dumb (censored) die for his country.". Words to live by.

- @Xubunnytwo All so true. I will never understand the mentality of gamers who would rather die in a hail of bullets than exercise a little judgment or discretion. I'm just glad they don't take any of these idiotic lessons and apply them to life. Oops. Did I just actually say that?
I only rat in Ranked and I almost never rank out of Bronze because that's where I can do the most good. I play as Crypto and wait for two toxic hot droppers to drop hot. I then break away and land near them and deploy my drone in rat mode, awaiting their immanent deaths. I then grab their banners to prevent the timeout and then process to talk with them in chat. I let them know why they died early, how they can do better and I then make them admit to their mistakes before they get a res. I let them know they can leave early and get a ban or they can take their medicine.
They really don't like this and I know one of my bans involved this. But I don't really care, nothing can stop me from doing that with a new shell account if I get a ban, I just need to use a default legend to grab one or more banners. Plus I feel it really improves the Apex community, when I can educate and correct that toxic hot drop behavior early on then those players will live longer in matches and rank up out of bronze. Either that or they stop playing, but in the end it still results in an improved community.
I have to agree with @hayhor here.
Holding players banners hostage so that you can teach them a lesson before ressing them, and only if they agree to your terms, is disgusting.
Just get on with the res or do not, get over it.
Other people play differently and that is their call how they want to enjoy the game.
Personally I do not like hot droppers but that is the price of playing solo Q and player RNG, I solo Q but when we can my friends and I 3 stack.
