You dont see the menu when inspecting, that looked like ALGS and the people playing there is extremely good and spent countless hours practicing fast armorswaps, same you can swap to an empty one 😉 I died to that sooo many times.

But yes there are swap macros where people  swap where menu just flash on your screen (this is however cheating), but this as its an inspect so you wont see his menu, might actually be legit just because its from ALGS so you know most of the people in there are capable of doing insane plays.

Edit: Observer/Commentator cameras dont see maps and menues when inspecting players, same as when you die and you inspect your killers playcam, or your buddy while waiting for pickup/spawn.

i clearly won that fight, but if mechanics abuse is acceptable, then i suppose you have no problem with Ddos... thats just a mechanic...

DDOS is active denial of service attack, which is considered hacking and a proper crime in most countries. Armor swap is a part of the game, you can even prep a defense area by carrying armor swaps and putting them on the floor instead of in deathboxes for more efficient access when fighting over the room/area, its a part of the game, DDOS needs external hardware, external software and a particularly evil dude pressing the go button. I would be just as irritated as you loosing that fight as mechanically you won even if he won the fight, but I suggest you learn from this and steal that swap first!

I am not the greatest Apex player by a long shot, but I practiced a lot slide jumping over top of a death box and quickly looking at the box in mid air and now as a result I am able to grab one item before my legend lands.  Its really hard, but with practice you can do it. 

But swapping a shield out of a death box is no different than grabbing a gun out of a death box or ammo. Why would it be cheating to shield swap but not take anything else? 

By your logic, nobody should be able to take anything out of any death box found lying around the map.

Exactly you can die to more the armor swaps, also getting ammo (I do this loads because I happen to be out in fights in the start so I have to "ammoswap") during fights. And just a general observation, the guy you fought with had a bunch of headshots on you, that indicates a very proficient player and you can expect armor swaps from these any day.

There is no need to be calling @Zkepz names here. 

Shield swapping is a learned skill and can be very useful. It is not cheating no matter how you feel about it. 

If Macros are used to assist shield swapping, the use of the macro is the cheat not the swap in and of itself.

I understand that you think you should have won that battle but you seem to have been just a little outplayed there.

When I get the chance and find a good defensive position where I can set out a few shields to swap with I will. This can save having to take the time to use cells and batts and is crucial in some situations in order to win the fight or game. It is not cheating but rather forward thinking, prepping the battlefield and playing smart.

There are armors on the ground, and without practicing with a bud trying to end you you will instintly run past one in a game and try heal instead. I did this alll the time before we started tearing echother new ones in the shooting range around the armors to get this into hour heads.

Edit: Im not saying get good, im giving advice. Armor swap wont dissapear and in general when playing you will gradually improve and at some point in time you meet people who are used to armor swapping, its an interesting experience and bad for your bloodpreasure, but at some point in time if you keep improving you will be the one someone rage at aswell. 😉

Hahaha, I have quick shield swapped a bunch of times where I also grabbed an empty shield and was downed immediately lol. You definitely take a chance. 

I have to agree with @NickBeam27 here. I’ve been practicing this for months now and successfully swapping from multiple boxes and getting a squad wipe is one of the most adrenaline inducing and satisfying things in the game. Just one of the skills that we have to learn. Imagine the backlash of “Respawn dumbing-down the game more and making it a Casual game” if they remove shield swapping. 🙂 

@ZkepzThere is a known cheat on PC where people are able to pull armor from a box without going into it. It just automatically happens. That shouldn't mean they put a delay on it tho.

Its to enable you to get quickly ready for the 3rd party, hence armorswap. When you kill someone the armor gets filled for the looter to enjoy :D

Yes I heard about the cheat, and I hope they thoroughly nuke it so its gone, but fact still stands, it looked like a genuine armorswap on that film though :D

The perception problem with shield swapping is your armor is a shield that is drawn like a glowing suit of...armor.  It's basically a shield.

But I weirdly agree that swapping armor should have a time count in seconds, even if it's not an actual suit you put on, per se.

Mainly because, yes, it's weird the way it stands right now, even from a game perspective.  It's just odd to have people standing around Loba black markets in the endgame, restoring shields then yanking out suits and leaving them around.  It's a skill, sure, strategic, sure, but also just plain weird and comical.

Until Respawn changes how it works, though, I'd get used to it.

@hayhor I feel this is starting to become a bit philosophical hehe, but lets try stay tech. We can take several approaches to this fact:

1) The leftover power from the killing blow turbocharge the recharge of the armor.

2) Energy from the chip loading the personality/soul or what it is from the departed charge the armor when you upload.

3) When you crawl on the ground your life slowly sips out of you until you get bricked, this life equals energy, perhaps this slowly recharge the armor.

And then any combination of the above?

I'm sure there are many cooler explanations one could attach to this dilemma, even going to evil vs good hehe. Still I think it would be cool if every cell worth of armor would charge in the rate of 1ish pr second when you equip an armor, that would add to the complexity of armor and how you play your fights. Dropping your armor to avoid cryptos drone would then perhaps become a high risk move, way riskier then today for instance.

I'm not saying that you should not armorswap, i advocate it and my posts do too because it's a part of higher end combat. I just gave credit so something I thought was nifty that if you wear an armor if it applies gradually by one cell or two cells a second that would be a fun idea too that gives more complexity to a fight, not saying should be like that at all. I have no issues with the current system at all.
