Re: Smurf for solos to Masters on new input got banned

@KahlerKarl33

I have to agree with @BallisticMVP on this.

I do not think that you are being fully honest here, either way what you did is not at all that smart Cybersecurity wise.

You bought a steam account?  From someone else. Do you know how unsafe that is, along with being illegal?

Why do you think the person was selling the account? Probably because it had been sanctioned and they could not use it anymore.

Now you are out of pocket monetarily the account is Banned and know you cant use it for EA games apparently.

Hopefully you did not also end up with a hardware Ban, but if so then that is just sad.

I honestly can only just shake my head here and feel sad about how people can be so careless.

This is all on you, you could have just made a new steam account for FREE and would have been safer Cybersecurity wise.

Some tips below for the future:

Account Safety

How to keep your account and hardware safe 101:

  1. Use strong passwords for you game account.
  2. Use strong passwords for the associated E-mail account. Keep track of your e-mail accounts and what they are connected to.
  3. Do not share either of these passwords with others. Keep note of your passwords in a safe place.
  4. Enable two factor identification for both the game and associated E-mail accounts.
  5. Do not let others use your game account (Friends and family alike) because if they do something wrong on your account it is still your fault, nobody wants to have a sanction on their account because somebody else did or said something wrong.
  6. Do not use internet café’s to access your account and play, you do not know what software is on the hardware there, you do not know if the hardware at the cafe has a hardware ban and this can affect your account in a negative way.
  7. I would suggest only accessing your account with your own trusted hardware, gaming on another person’s hardware brings some of the same risks as above.
  8. I would also suggest not letting others use your hardware in order to play with their account, because if they get a hardware ban on your hardware while using it, it can have a negative affect on your account.
  9. Buying used hardware comes with risks as well. The hardware could have been banned and this is not an EA problem but a problem between the buyer and the seller.
  10. Play nice with others, in other words do not de-mean, harass or bully others in Chat or over voice coms, both can be reported and that can also have a negative effect on your account.
  11. Use non-offensive user/gamer tag/club tags, if you get a warning about such change it, doing otherwise can lead to a negative effect on your account.
  12. Play fair, boosting and teaming are cheating.
  13. Play fair using cheating software or hardware is not fair and is really only cheating yourself.
  14. Do not buy and or sell accounts, do you really know what has been done with the account? What cyber info are you giving up? What risk is there that the account is bunk. What is the risk to your hardware?
  15. Re-read the Terms of Service agreement and the Terms of Sale agreement you agreed to play this game and adhere to it. https://www.ea.com/legal/user-agreement and https://www.ea.com/legal/terms-of-sale

About points 7, 8, and 9, I do know that not everyone can afford multiple hardware setups for the entire family and there is trust that has to be there, talking about the does and don’ts on the use of shared hardware should be done so everybody can enjoy what they do on the hardware and everyone can be safe.

If you believe you have been hacked take appropriate measures to secure your account and associated E-mail account https://help.ea.com/en-gb/help/account/secure-hacked-ea-account/

If you believe that a sanction (Suspension/Ban) placed on your account was by mistake you should reach out to the Terms of Service team https://help.ea.com/za/help/account/information-about-locked-or-banned-or-suspended-accounts/

  • Thank you for your answer.

I bought the account on g2a just for bdg3 from a trusted seller.

How do I get banned by EA while buying a fresh STEAM account.

Also what do you mean I am not beeing honest?  I told you everything to my best knowledge of this situation. Is there something specific missing what explains it or is something I say not true in ur opinion?

    Honestly buying accounts is dishonest.

    From Steam:

Steam accounts cannot be bought or sold. An account is for the personal use of its creator only.

Any attempt to gain access to someone else's account is considered account theft. Accounts which have been bought, sold or traded will be restricted. This includes any type of scam targeting a Steam user over Steam Chat or other systems outside of Steam, or deliberately submitting false information to Steam Support.

Trusted seller? They are not legally allowed to sell an account, what is there to trust? Criminals?

Selling a steam account is against Steams user agreement.

Purchasing illegal accounts is against EA's ToS.

Honestly it hurts to think about how people do this a wonder what they did wrong and why their accounts get blocked.

    This is just sad.

    @KahlerKarl33https://ihde.de/en/steam-user-accounts-not-transferable-confirms-berlin-court-of-appeals/

"In this case, the games can only be played through the account.
In other words, the Steam user purchases not the game as such, but the game in combination with the functions and services provided continuously through the individual Steam account.
These additional functionalities and services are individualized, and they do not fall under the rule of copyright exhaustion.

Thus, Steam’s policy of prohibiting the transfer of user accounts does not come into conflict with the principles of (German and European) copyright law."

@KahlerKarl33The issue here is that they simply close down the account, you still kinda own the software you just can’t use it anymore 🤪

You are not the first that came up with attempts like this, you agreed to it when you accepted the terms of service, they can ban you because the sky is blue. In the end it’s their platform and they decide who is allowed to use it. Theese big companies like steam/valve are not stupid.. they have whole departments full with lawyers.

  • Damn I could not find that anywhere but thank you i looked everywhere but its weird how open the market is here for these accounts with selling sites beeing active for over 20 years
