Re: Throwing matches because you can't get the legend you want

Why wouldn't they just make it so when you pre-select your legend you....actually pre-select it.

Negotiations can then be made in the lobby. There is no competitive matchmaking right now so implementing these leaver combating features is just a waste of time. Team comp isn't that important right now when your teammates are literally 90 levels below you.

Most of these problems will go away when matchmaking is added and there is a need for leaverbuster type stuff to be implemented. Right now it's a waste of time in the vast majority of lobbies to stick it through with complete noobies. I'm sorry if that hurts someone's feelings but I like to be blunt. And yes, it is sort of the fault of the developer. I know for certain I would have predicted this sort of thing to happen because it happens in literally every single class based multiplayer game that has ever been made.

They honestly need to have an overall stats page as well. They want to encourage players to play multiple legends but then you're restricted to mains if you want really high stats. And yes - stats matter to a lot and I mean A LOT of players.

  • If the pick rate of a Legend, or Legends, is so high that it causes issues during the Legend selection phase, that could be addressed by balancing the Legend(s).

If pathfinder is really popular because his grapple was not intended to work the way it does, or if his hit boxes are dodgy, these things could be changed. It would affect his pick rate.

I'm sure the gameplay designers would expect negative feedback about changes to Pathfinder, but that wouldn't have any real long-term affect on Apex. His pick-rate would drop and there would be less Legend selection 'conflict'.

This problem when selecting a class in games is something that happens a lot. So it's probably something game designers expect.

Once more Legends are available the problem will solve itself. 🧙
