In my opinion, Tap Strafe should have been removed a long time ago, when it comes to Apex Legends or Titanfall, i think keeping momentum based on REAL WORLD, and its laws of physics, should be what Respawn bases thing on.
TAP STRAFE is an impossible movement.
You cant just change trajectory mid air without having propulsion equipment like VALK, also ive had the same opinion about Octanes JUMP PAD, and its Double jump feature.
Again this is just my opinion but I think outlandish physics should be only applied when it comes to Legends Abilities. Generic movement shouldn’t be breaking the laws of physics.
@SILVERisSORRYlegends have basic jump kits attached to their back, you know the one we use to fly. That's why double jump works(it makes the sound too if you pay attention) and why you don't take fall dmg.
In Valkyrie ult, her jetpack overcharges teammates basic jump kit by attaching to them via cords. She isn't dragging you, but giving you some of her power.
But it's a very weaker version of the titanfall 2 jump kit, so it only works in limited capacity. Unless given some boost by legend abilities like jumppad or Valkyrie ult.

- 4 years ago@BaldWraithSimp That makes total sense, but yeah activating you jump pack post drop shouldn't apply to tap strafing, it has always felt and looked like an exploit to me.
- 4 years ago@SILVERisSORRY The problem is binding mouse wheel to some actions, like binding to shooting or looting or W in tap strafe case. It lets you get past your natural cps(clicks per second) ability, only few people can do that by just tapping repeatedly.
I don't think every game allows that freedom when it comes to binding mouse wheel, and you can bind it from outside the game regardless using your mouse software.
