As primarily a solo q player and someone obsessed with this game because of its movement mechanics and gunplay I could not be more irate at this decision. As a matter of fact based on this and the fact that SBMM that last couple of days seems to have been ramped up it might finally be the time for my journey to end. I have put thousands of hours into this game since day 1, played on all 3 major platforms and over the last few months even taught myself how to play M&K because of the advanced movement tech possible. Now all that time and effort relearning how to play was all for nothing. What makes me even more upsetting is they talk about the accessibility of controller players while simultaneously mentioning aim assists. Well I don't get why you are taking away advanced techniques in the game since drop because you are worried controller players not being able to do them but literally have a built in advantage for controller. I mean if you take away the advantage of M&K why not take away the advantage for controllers.
Another thing is the dev's infatuation with ruining a good players ability to take on a squad by themselves. Now with the constant scans, insane sbmm lobbies, and soon lack of movement escapability makes it so much harder than it used to be. I am just begging for Naughty Dog to drop its next MP factions game to give me something new to look forward to.
