It seems that Respawn has added a new anti-cheat software according to this infamous apex hacker and leaker (image below). The said anti-cheat is the Hyperion Anti-cheat software. The same anti-cheat that Epic added to Fortnite in July 7, 2022. Not sure how long this will last until cheat makers find an exploit but it’s nice to know they’re making steps to counter cheating. I’ve read that this will at least stop majoeity of the small time cheaters or those who are not well-verse into software engineering. @pandareno1999Ag420. He did take his statement back though saying they reverted adding hyperion. Ezra is not a hacker but most likely a dev leaker. He’s been quiet since June so he might have been caught or just no new leaks to share.
edit: Biast12 and KralRindo said hyperion was indeed added but immediately removed since the game would not function for players playing in Windows 8 or below.

Has this anti-cheat made a scrap of difference to Fortnite since it was installed? for me & my nephews who play Fortnite emphatically say no it hasn't.And so it isn't going to make one jot of difference to Apex & why should it as long as the cheats are still buying skins they are still seen as paying customers in the eyes of EA/Respawn.And with an obsolete & useless reporting system (yeah blocking a cheater is really going to lead to them getting banned) any anti-cheat is like fitting a house with a burglar alarm after it has been robbed several times before whilst refusing to fix the broken door locks.

dos anyone else find it incredibly comical that we're getting all this news from AG420? I guess if anyone would know whether cheats are working, it'd be him.
