S5 Meta: place your bets now ladies and gentlemen

So, the finalized skillset for Loba is out, Hitbox size can also be inferred from the reveal trailer gameplay footage to be medium sized, the rework changes for Mirage and Lifeline are also revealed.

My prediction, is that new meta will likely be Lifeline Loba and Wraith/Pathfinder

Lifeline's new set seems a little too good, and the ultimate sounded downright overpowered, Loba may be able to let herself and teammates snatch loot from deathboxes too based on the fact you can apparently take a care package weapon too, allowing people to instantly steal armors from the deathboxes from a nearby fight.

This means no more armors in boxes just before you get third partied.

And either Wraith or Path for late game rotations.

If anyone is going to be swapped in this lineup it will be Loba to instead pick Wattson, particularly in high ranked lobbies Loba will be less present, despite the teleport skill.

And last is the meme squads who will pick Loba and Revenant to squabble back and forth in the dropship, only to be found doing naughty things behind a rock in the field later on.

Take your shots now.

Obviously we can't talk about possible weapon changes yet. But lets hope the new Havoc will have a 1 bullet magazine.

[Edit] ignore what's crossed out. I got gottem'd by fake news, apparently i believed that respawn would buff underused legends because i'm stupid and don't learn from my mistakes.

    @DrenMadre I'm a Wattson main and i think her Bracelet *should* go through my fence. Unless you wanna get really fussy then maybe if it touches an electric.

    Mirage cloak *should* be visible through NOX, Allfather+Hunt, and threat sights, as they are *logical* counters.

    It's like saying Wraith shouldn't void through fences - it's a logical counter.

    @DrenMadre It's not like you will teleport instantly. The animation will take time and by the time you materialize inside a house, you will be dead mostly since you will be going alone and going by the trailers, her tactical leaves a trail so anyone can see it. Even a 1-sec animation is enough to get you killed. Not much invulnerable now, eh?

    There will obviously be a wrong way to use it tho, but also a right way.

    You could jump off a KC watchtower and throw the bracelet on the roof and jump down. If you enemy pursues you, you teleport up, if your enemy stays up, you fall down and heal.

    At least, this is assuming that you can control when to teleport or not. If you automatically teleport when the bracelet lands it'll be similar to a path grappling back up.

    It's safe to assume Loba is gonna be pretty damn good in the hands of decent players.

    If you think meta talk is corny and cringe, that's fine, but why not stay out of the thread if you cringe so hard.

    And why make a "nerf wraith" thread since that discusses meta, is it that meta talk is only cringe when others do it? Or are you basing your opinion on how annoyed you are by some yourtubers and streamers or whatever?

    I have the perfect flanker group. This’ll be the meta, mark my words. First Loba! Second Pathfinder! Third Revenant. Think about it. You think they’ll fix the audio? Probs not so pathfinder footsteps are gonna be nonexistent as usual. Revenant is made not to be heard so no surprises there. Lastly Loba with her teleport like it’s Portal will only be heard by those paying attention or when there’s no gunfight or Wraith used in the same way (remember, gunfights drown out noise).

    So you can use the Loba Transport as a bait to get 1 or 2 enemies to check it out. Have the Simalcrums stationing outside to blitz attack the investigator, then either rush inside stealthily with Rev and Path, wait for the teammates to start running towards their mate and Loba Teleport behind them to sandwich the duckers and kill the team. If you have Wraith, she obviously can’t teleport inside so it’s another strategy.

    If not that meta, then it’ll be gibby (he’s gonna get buffed likely xD), path & loba aka the ‘tanky flanky’.

    @Koochi-Q Yeah, I remember at the start of season 4 when I started maining Rev, a WHOLE lot of people left as soon as I picked him. Probably going to be the same with Loba.

    Then of course there are going to be those people that pick Loba and then leave after all the legends picks are finalized just to troll people.

    Also, this will affect the firing range meta. No longer will you and your friend have to race down to the bottom to see who get get the Devotion the fastest. Now I can just teleport.

    ANOTHER thing: I wonder if her braclet can bounce off of jump pads, like thermites, arc stars, and frags. I would assume so because every throwable does this.

    @shadowninja5044 That happens every time so dont worry bout it. For 2/3 days that’ll be the case. But seeing how powerful she looks, ppl actually might main her right of the bat.

    For Rev on first day I think I had like 7 games where nobody picked him (I played like 13 hours that day XD) because I wasn’t paying attention and in previous game I didn’t have him for instance (cause I already knew he was gonna be my second main). 7 games out of the 80+ xD

    Good question, go test it I’d say but likely by the end of the day YT will be filled with all answers. Like ‘will throwing bracelet set of Caustic’s gas’, ‘can you throw through watson’s gates’ and so on.
