Community ManagerWell, I've only put in about a half a dozen matches, so I'm not ready to come right out with an opinion just yet. But I'd be curious to hear what people think of a) the legend perks, b) the new shield system, and c) the ranking system.
My pre-opinion would read something like a) irrelevant, b) opaque, annoying, and clearly designed to undo the "rat-to-win" meta, and c) not opaque, not annoying, and also designed to undo the "rat-to-win" meta.

Took a sneak peek. Tried the new mixtape map, seems okay. Takes some time to learn it.
Queued up to ranked, didnt get teammates, ran around for a while to test the new crafter, got HS sniped with a charged up senti. Truly an Apex experience LOL 🙂
Then went on to the firing range. Is it just me or do the guns seem changed? Like out of the patch notes.
For example LMGs seem to have recoil buffs. For the first time ever Devo seemed like a decent gun (for firing range). Senti + Longbow felt like they were doing more damage than before.
Could also be that I just remember things wrong...
Played 5 matches of ranked today. 3 of those matches I had duo or solo against trios.
Cant be my luck so I am guessing there is again a hidden MM algorithm in place in ranked.
Makes no sense otherwise since most of the ranked player base has similar RP rank as me and there is plenty of players online.
There's no way it's just Thunderdome for 6 days??? They need to hotfix Mixtape. It's an unplayable mess. Control is actually worse than TDM. There's no way to navigate this maze, you get shot from above, the back, the side, by silent assassins.
We were 5 players on my team just going afc. Gee, I wonder why.
