Seer's passive identifies a loud heart murmur in the legends.

Hello, I'm an internal medicine physician from Chicago (but still young, only 31) and when I use Seer's passive I can't help but notice every legend including the robots have a loud heart murmur during the contraction (systolic) phase of the heartbeat. I'm assuming others have noticed this too especially people that work as first responders, nurses or students in a medical field. It is misleading for what a heart should sound like and adds unnecessary audio input to a game that already has issues with audio queues. I'm just wondering if anybody else has noticed this or has thoughts on why it was developed this way?

  • @c00pnation I know. It bugs me so much. I'm trying to focus on shooting and I keep thinking, "man, Revenant needs to go to a physician for a checkup. He should take better care of himself."

I was being sarcastic, in case that wasn't clear.

Side effect of repetitive resurrection maybe? 😛

Seriously though, probably just to catch the users attention.

I don't think its meant to be accurate just there to serve it's purpose, take Mortal kombat for example, plenty of finishers were people have their stomachs slit etc yet we don't see metre upon metre of intestine dropping out, it's usually just a short length.

  • @c00pnationHey there fellow internist! Noticed this too that they used a different an abnormal heart sound rather than your normal S1 and S2. Lifeline should definitely request an echocardiogram for further assessment for these legends and even consider a valve replacement surgery. Respawn definitely used the aortic stenosis sound clip as you can definitely hear the crescendo-decrescendo. But that's too nerdy for the people of the forums.

But like what everyone have said, it's just a game. LOL! 😅

@Cheese9Man You physicians need to stop overcomplicating stuff!

@ OP... wow... just wow. It’s just an added effect to indicate that a target is close or nearby, likely meant for ppl that have a harder time visualizing the visual cues...
