Regarding SBMM @boy_Hoodle, would you see it rather fixed or removed? I personally would like it to get fixed. I don't mind losing, its boring to have no proper fight so i wanna be matched with both teammates and enemies atleast roughly similar in skill.
@BigBlackCaustic your post is like a snake eating itself. Sbmm literally caters to new players .
it doesn’t cater to middle of the road players or solo queue players. That’s for sure.
also, you hardly ever, EVER, get teammates of similar skill

Caters to new players? Then how in the world are level 15 with 200 kills being placed in pred lobbies with level 500 players? There is a no cater here there is a broken SBMM here.

@E9ine_AC @Because a level 15 with 200 kills is probably smurfing and has like a 15 k/d like I do on my smurf, I made a smurf got a 20 kill game and immediately was in lobbies against people I play vs on my main.
level is not an indication of skill whatsoever.
there is level 300+ that still don’t know how to play the game like.. at all
- E9ine_AC5 years agoHero+@boy_Hoodle I have actually figured out how SBMM works and it def is not kill death ratio hince it is broke I have manipulated it past few days testing my theory and came out i was correct. Waiting on devs response in pm maybe there was a error. I believe there is kill death ratio plays no part into this at the moment. There is something that does I will not name it here as it is completely exploitable and I cant allow players to do that as it could be punishing.

A level 15 account with 200 kills is probably a smurf to be honest.
An actual new player at lvl 15 with no prior experience in shooters? I'd say someone like that might have 5 to 10 kills at that point.
- E9ine_AC5 years agoHero+@Wingmannedbro Correct at this point im ready to say smurfs dont exist but rarely. What ive seen from these low level players movement their looting tactics their paying attention to surroundings every thing a good player would do they dont. But they can lazer 6 people with in 3 minutes. Im sad to say it but honestly i consider all low levels now with real kill counts cheaters. 95% of them i watch after being slaughtered by them have no pro movements but sure shoot like a pro from any distance at all. With direct connections to head.
- 5 years ago@boy_Hoodle SBMM tries to cater to everyone but fails miserably. You get new players being teamed up with people who did well last game and in the same lobby you get 3-squad preds. SBMM is supposed to match people of the same skill level against one another or atleast that's the general purpose of SBMM in most games I don't know if that's the goal with Apex's SBMM though. Honestly I would like to see it fixed too so I don't have to play ranked mode all the time.

@Daze623 precisely, see? I’m not so bad when not accused of things I didn’t do intentionally. Now that we know we share views on sbmm I hope we can have a beautiful budding relationship

Ranked mode is just as bad since people from season 1-3 who still have the mechanical aim of a god are now in the lower ranks due to the rank decay or whatever its called. It takes weeks for people to get put into their appropriate ranks, but only days to relearn the game since not much has changed.

@boy_HoodleWrong. No one wants to have level 12 players with like 30 kills if you are diamond or above yourself. Thats why you see so many posts complaining about how it NOT works.
The lack of SBMM doesn't even cater to you, thats why you keep complaining about higher ranks in your lobby on this forum instead of using your energy and time to learn from them.- 5 years ago
@BigBlackCausticmcscuse me amigo, not to brag, but I’ve been farming this game like it’s my job since quarantine started, I’ve got thousands of hours of fps experience, grandmaster in overwatch, DMG in csgo, was a cod4 competitive sniper, halo 3 lvl 50 mlg, i grinded to rank 13 in world of Warcraft which requires 16-24 hours a day for 2.5 months straight, I start every day before I game with an hour on aim labs. I have played this game nonstop and I try to improve at it daily, and I can tell you from my experience you do not learn best in a gun fight vs 3 predators who kill you nearly instantly, and to have casual playlist harder than ranked to save new players from better players isn’t the answer.
to say I don’t put my energy into improving is simply laughable. I grind every single game I play And am constantly looking for streams and YouTube videos for any tips I can get to improve.
can anyone else say the same for their regimen and approach to this game? If you already reached pred this isn’t meant to you, but the people constantly coming to me calling me a complainer etc. are you playing 6-8 hours a day? Are you constantly working at improving?
or are you stagnant and just wanna get on and don’t care about outcomes and are more interested in lore and skins?
in the past 3 months I’ve put about 500 hours into this game. And that’s no cap
inb4 ridiculed for how much I play

Since November of last year ive put in 2 thousand hours into this game. I am on roughly 10-15 hours a day with a average anywhere from 1-200 games a day. I see a lot of whats going on with sbmm i pay a lot attention to detail and finally pin pointed how and what dertermins. Devs responding on twitch to me shows hey we care we actually see the complaints and acknowledge them. It is not bad they joke with it just know the players have been heard. This is a good thing not a bad thing.
