Are there any settings you can change to see enemies a little easier for someone getting old like me? (I use bloodhound.and seer because of my poor vision :D

@GavinC85MUFC It can be hard even if you have great vision. There can be a lot going on at times.Lower FOV, use anything between 90-104 is a good place to be.Bigger monitor. I switched from a 24” 1080 to a 27” 1440 and it definitely helps. The higher resolution helps with a cleaner outline of characters and I like the bigger screen. It also depends how close you sit to your screen. 27” gives you the freedom to move it back a couple of inches too.Using characters like Seer and Bloodhound is a good move. Pick up the digi threat when you find one. That can also help a lot with tracking enemies.Watch for movement on your screen more than anything. Pay attention to tracers. Use your ears. Give yourself cover at all times. Like with most shooters it’s mostly about positioning.Put all the video settings on low and use your native resolution.

@GavinC85MUFCI'm constantly adjusting my distance-to-screen. I sit anywhere from three to four feet away from a 55" tv. It's still a challenge, as you say, once past a certain age. And when you start to need bifocals (oh, it hurts to admit that) then it stops mattering whether I put on my glasses or not.But I have to say, the more I play the game, the more I rely on knowing where enemies are long before seeing them. I'm not Daredevil or anything, but players in this game are shockingly predictable. That won't help with aim, but I can promise you: if you're paying attention then the more you play the more you know where to look and when. And 80% of the time they're on cue, on mark, ready to get shot at. It's kinda sad if you think about it.

@NickBeam27 Just in case you haven't tried it out yet, I have been using some "blue-blocker" gaming glasses for several years now, and I can easily feel the difference when I don't wear them, as far as eye strain and headaches and whatnot. I don't wear prescription glasses, but most places have options to include your prescription, if necessary. There are some expensive brands out there, but there are definitely cheaper options that work just as well. I have a pair of Gunnars, but I usually use my other, cheaper pair (can't remember the brand of those ones). Pretty much any blue-light blocking glasses should help with the eye strain. I can't game without them nowadays, because I feel the strain/tension after just a couple minutes.Definitely won't help with actually spotting enemies, but wanted to share, for anyone that might be on the fence about gaming glasses. They have made a huge difference for me, and I even use blue-blockers at work, for when I'm on the computer

Unless your playing on a 4k tv 50" or bigger then visibility can be a problem in the game largely due to the bland,murky,low resolution colouring Apex maps are all set in (one only has to look at the overview in a drop shop of Broken Moon to see the blandness).And then you get the strange shadowing effect of characters & enemies literally turning them black in colouring.My nephew who is a very good Fortnite player (good enough to turn pro) is always complaining about visibility issues & detecting enemies in Apex & I'd be inclined to agree with him when he says that graphically & colourization wise Fortnite is a better looking game with enemies far easier to spot without the need for thermal imaging perks.For many a season now I've mucked around with the FOV settings & the various contrasts in brightness settings as well as trying the various Colour Blind Mode settings (Protanopia,Deuteranopia,Tritanopia & off which worked best) but nothing really worked but then I adjusted my tv screen picture settings which I found Dynamic to be the best option (at least in other games anyway).I did find adjusting my reticule & laser sighting colours to illuminous helped spotting enemies at times though.

@GavinC85MUFC Bruv, there is no setting that will help with seeing enemies easier. It is a flaw of the game. Those blue block glasses are a total scam - I have a pair...and there is no medically reviewed evidence that they do anything, or blue light for that matter. ....

The truth is Apex has terrible coloring with background vs characters. That is why I always try to play with a skin that would make you hard to see. These event skins are basically free kills with how some of them makes you stand out. Focus on movement and equip something that blends - you will see a pay off soon enough.

@NickBeam27 Lol, I expect you back when you realize they do nothing beside hurt your eyes. No hate brother, but I guess you gotta see the futility of these things for yourself..? 🙂

Two things helped me quite a bit.

1) Benq monitor that uses Black EQ and 2) Strong reading glasses for the proper distance for my monitor placement (about 2 feet)

@Unitee01 Well eye test came back 20/20 so at this point i'll try anything once. Twice to be sure.

@GavinC85MUFC true its a problem sometimes, but my advice don't give any money to them... wish ppl would stop paying for skins, maybe they would listen, sound itn't fixed, since march of 19
