Skill Based matchmaking even regular game
Just seemed like every match is getting harder and harder. So I wondered if it’s skill bases matchmaking in non ranked games also. So I signed into my sons account who has barely ever played the game...

There's a "beginner" queue for new accounts in normal mode. Up until, lvl10-ish you get placed strictly into that, but even lvl20-40 can still get into it. After lvl50 or so, you never ever get to beginner queue anymore.
Your son's account may still be in the beginner's queue, so of course it feels easy stomping newbies...
The normal queue is random. Although it does differentiate between solo (+duo?) and 3-man teams, so the solo games are generally much softer.
P.S. If you see low level (<100) accounts boasting 20 kill and 4k damage badges - they most likely made a new account and got those badges stomping newbies (most likely made way more than 1 account to finally get those badges).
None of this is true about matchmaking...ever since level 1 have been in a lot of matches with way over leveled players.
@DeadI43 How often do you see players below level 24 then?
Not very often. Today I've played 20 matches and every player but me was max level lol I'm at 11.
