The SBMM is trash in this game to begin with but one of the things that also makes matches so terrible is that not enough players are playing to keep lobbies really balanced. So really respawn cant do much. I can only think of 3 things to improve matches.
1) make the game better so people actually want to play again and old players come back, new players join. And current players stay
2) cross play. This should help populate lobbies with more people to allow more balanced matches.
3) change SBMM and increase wait times for matches. There are probably 60 people on each platform that have almost identical stats to everyone else but it's getting them all in the same match at the same time. So if they restricted SBMM more this would increase wait times but probably create more balanced lobbies.
Also getting 20k when queuing solo is super hard. Solo queue basically pointless. Almost every game i play solo queue i die to a premade squad or predators. Or at least a premade of diamonds and a pred. It's nearly impossible to enjoy this game playing solo. That is one thing i wish they changed. I think that if you queue solo it should only put you in a match with solo queued unless it sticks you with a duo squad. Then you could be in a trio lobby. But 3 solos going up against a premade loses almost every time from lack of communication/ unfamiliar play style of other players.
