Smart Pistol confirmed!?

Spoiler warning: if you havent watched Gridiron, il leave the link at the bottom of this post

During the new Story from the Outland, you see that commander Scryer pulls out a smart pistol at Bangalore. This is confirmed by both the sound of the weapon firing and the shape of the weapon and its iron sights. Does anybody think it would be a little bit overpowered in Apex legends. I really think it would be

    @Lamboytroy 

    the video also showed wall running and Respawn has said that that will not be a thing. With that in mind I also do not think that a smart pistol is in the making but maybe they will have an energy pistol.

    @Lamboytroy  aim assist causes enough controversy as it is, adding a literal aimbot weapon probably isn't the direction respawn are gonna take I don't think (hope not anyway).
