Smurfs in Apex?
I just started ranked games and i'm in bronze. Very often, especially late night, me and my squad encounter another squad that kills us in 4 seconds. I notice that the players are insanely skilled,...

@ILostT0LobaI think everyone knows very well what they're getting into when joining a competitive mode. You have to be pretty ignorant to be new to the game and not expect to get eliminated relatively fast in a competitive mode.
It's good for ranked to be less forgiving than casual, better to go back and practice until you're ready, rather than getting indulged all the way up to a higher tier and then shocked by the sudden high skill requirement, while also ruining matches for your teammates who probably expect more from you.
A minimum tier limit for demotion could create a problem in the tiers below. The influx of new players in ranked may be low at times, resulting in very long waiting queues.
Yes, a competitive mode where you play against people of similar skill, or at least that's what it's advertised as. Letting master/preds below Plat is the exact opposite of that. Bronze is for noobs.
Making ranked less forgiving doesn't mean letting people with thousands of hours, who chose not to play ranked for a season go ham at Lvl 50s in Bronz. And since you mention 'go back and practice until you are ready', raise the Lvl 10 requirement and there you have more time to practice. As for smurfs spending more time in pubs, I already provided a solution for that in my previous replies.
Bronze has 17% players in it, silver has 26%, Gold has 36 %(season 7 end results). That's a lot more than players in higher tier, I am sure you don't need higher tier players to fill your lobbies, or not letting Diamonds below Gold isn't going to affect your queue times in any way.
@ILostT0LobaPutting a level cap is saying "you can't play ranked, regardless of you being ready or not or if you want to get the taste of it knowing the risks". It limits the options.
A lot of the bronze players can genuinely have hundreds and thousands of kills. Many that want to just practice for a season and a split to learn can easily have 500-1000 kills by the time they decide to start ranked. Some basic math: 1k games per season = 1.5K games for a season and a half. To get 500 kills, the kdr only needs to be 0.33. If some players that join Apex are Titanfall 2 veterans, I'm sure they can clock even 2-3K kills by then. Then, there are cases where people join their already experienced friends, or get helped by coaches, having clear goals to reach masters / preds and maybe pro careers as well. The mindset for starting ranked can be pretty different from that of a true beginner.
Now, back to pub smurfs, I was just watching this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fLV8T2dTfe0&ab_channel=TheGamingMerchant
Apparently, the game does push smurfs out of the beginner lobbies way before reaching 100 kills or level 20. There were talks that ranked system is about to change soon, maybe they want to do the same faster push of good players out of the low tiers.
@DoYaSeeMe Even if you have really good aim, the mechanics at first can be pretty overwhelming. You can't expect someone really new to get familiar with looting system, positioning etc in one session even when you play with friends. I watch some random streamers here and there who have good aim but are relatively new to Apex and they genuinely struggle a lot. That's why a level cap is necessary so that they can familiarize with core mechanics first.
As for rank escalation similar to how Riot does in Valorant, I think it will be a good addition(if they do it). It will solve the problem of 'tier demotions stacking up' to some extent. Like if someone drops 15 kills, 3k dmg in Bronze you escalate them to maybe Gold(silver?) , it's not possible for a true newbie to post that high of a score unless you are Shroud lol
There is a high percantage of players smurfing at ranked!
I guess 90% are smurfers!
They play much much much better than me!
Since there are 0% new players all players at bronce are rerolls or smurfers...
