So I got a permabanned for being "Toxic." I wonder do these guys even play games

So, I have been permabanned due to a bit of heated argument with another player which is normal in any game. Tell me which game has never had a heated argument before? The funny thing is. I got PERM ...

Depends on the language you were using I guess. Was this over voice or in-game chat. Plenty of people have their accouns unbanned. Most don't come back to say they are unbanned is all.

    @Ragarath Even if the heated argument was filled with profanity, permanently banning someone for that is the wrong way to tackle it. Chat-ban for a week or two? Sure. 3 days of account suspension? Alright, you can also consider that as a punishment. Permanently banning someone for calling someone something - at least from what I take here - is being equalized with hacking and cheating.

    The amount of times I see people coming into the forums - enraged - that they were banned from the game is ridiculous. Before you know it, people will come into the forums with a ban appeal because they played differently as someone wished.

      Depends, hate speech is a big no-no in most places today. If it were that then it would have been locked down hard. Or death threats etc.

      But I agree, if it was the first time and if it was only a profanity or 10 then yes a temp ban should be applied. But I assume they don't just perm ban for a little profanity, a perm ban would be for much worse than that.

      I'd like to believe the OP but I don't know him from any other person on here. We only have one side of the story. If it were that innocent then why not appeal?

        @Ragarath EA/Respawn can also disable the chat function for people who are repeated offenders of profanity. Problem solved, customer kept. Pings are more than sufficient to communicate with your team. And people who ignore pings are even more likely to ignore the chat.

        The amount of times people told me to kill myself, I should just stop existing or that my mother/father should die of cancer in Apex Legends is astonishing, yet I look over it and leap over my shadow because I'm aware that what they say literally should have no impact on my mood.

        Sticks and stones may break my bones but words will never hurt me. Unless you throw a dictionary into my face.
