(Request) Realism

Hi everyone,

I wonder if we will have an update that will bring more realism into the game.

I still don't know how legends get to fight one another, like mirage can meet another mirage.

also, where they come from after they are called using a respawn bacon ? they disappear after leaving their equipment then once you have a banner they come in full shape from somewhere else.

also, why the equipment don't show on the legend? how they fold into small space and why red mid kit and battery is very large, how a tower and beacon can be carried and not called to be dropped from above like when used, using remote control.

how a headshot can be taken with a helmet and the helmet and shield is invisible ? and how health can be impacted when the shield is penetrated and still be recovered with med kit after bullet hit the body?

where legend boxes come from and how legends dissolve

and where EVO comes from and how it gives abilities that last long?

it the dropship big enough for all of them? and who is watching them all? fans? or spectators?

I suggest the tower and beacon appear as a tiny remote unit, and the helmet becomes apparent, and legends fighting each other's can be explained by the technologies that the apex legends battle is governed by, and that the shields around the legends can appear as an aura when they are charge

the story does not quite say it all when read and I wish to know how all this happen in a new update that could make the perceived quality of this story much better

Part of it, is that its a game, (and I like to pretend that the same legends are just different people, who all happen to have the same abilities).

However, if you are looking for a more lore-accurate explanation, look no further than legends such as Wraith and Alter.

I'm not quite sure about this one, but if I had to guess, the legends are most likely clones, (which can also explain the first question), to where on death, the clone just dissolves and then when you grab their banner and respawn them,  a new clone is printed and sent in via a dropship, (which can explain why it takes time to respawn them, and how Crypto can make the process instant by using his drone).

Note: The cloning idea does conflicts with Apex's first trailer, where Wraith was with Mirage and Pathfinder, when an enemy team had tossed in a grenade into the building they were in, (killing Mirage and Pathfinder), while Wraith phased away via her portal, (which resulted in Wraith going back into the building after killing the enemy team, and then removing the respawn banner card from Mirage's wrist, which this scene shows that there are no deathboxes to recover the banner card from).

The best answer I can think of would be that if Respawn had made these items appear on the legends, (regardless of the legend's outfit and hairstyles as well), it be rather difficult, and the more you carry, the more of a visual clutter it would be.

Furthermore, with the kind of things that are possible within the game's universe, (such as phasing into other realities as Wraith/Alter, (and maybe even Ash), jumping to a bat as Vantage, as well as using a heal-all medical drone, (regardless of the damage done to the one being healed), via Lifeline's D.O.C), its possible that there is technology that can compress or shrink items down for transport.

Real world helmets can also take shots, (often times causing the bullets to bounce right off the helmet), although with heavier bullets, (such as ones used in snipers), those can go through helmets used in the real world, (at least to my understanding).

In the game, I'm assuming the bullets are specially made to make the game more fun for viewers to watch, so the bullets typically don't instantly kill any of the legends.

For the helmet being invisible, that can either be future technology, (or its just another visual clutter issue with conflicts involving the legend's hair and headgear). With the armor often being shown as more of an aura, I'd have to go with future technology, (like a forcefield), which would explain why you take can damage after the shield becomes broken.

As for healing the damage from being shot, I'd have to once again assume future technology, (especially since Lifeline's D.O.C drone can heal any wound as well).

A very good question and from what I can guess, future technology might be involved where it converts the legends into a deathbox. (This would explain how a legend can dissolve and how a deathbox can appear in their place).

However, I'm sure there's more of a reason behind this besides a game mechanic.

I believe EVO is similar to Octane's stim, (which he got his stim from his family's pharmacy), whereas the EVO empowers those who uses it, (and the legend's abilities most likely have a mechanic that fuses with the EVO to give them new perks).

The larger dropship is big enough to transport every legend to the battlefield.

and who's watching them? Well, that would be the fans, other legends, and even the Apex Syndicate!

This is mainly for visual clarity so you know what loot you are looking at and the shield auras might be a bit disrupting to look at, (which it also would take away part of Vantage's passive if everyone can see each other's shield level).

In the first few years of Apex, there was a lot of lore that explained things such as Pathfinder's past, (like who his creators were), where Wraith came from, why Crypto is on the run, why Loba wanted to kill Revenant, etc.

Now, the lore is a bit harder to read, but its still there in some way or form. (Sometimes the lore is through comics posted on Twitter/X and sometimes its through videos posted on Youtube).

I do not work for EA or for Respawn.
The information here either supported by Apex's existing lore, gameplay, videos, etc. (or is speculation on how things work).

  • It's a digitally created simulation. The events do not happen in 'reality'. The simulation is tweaked every time a new aspect of the fake reality is created, i.e. replicators, evo generators.

All lore is simply a fiction, created to make the game more interesting to those watching.

    Hi, thanks for your reply!

I do understand that the lore is there to explain things such as how big is the spaceship, however in gameplay i don't see the ship big enough compared to the player size the drop from it, I also don't see the spectators while playing, also we need the technology explained within the game, like how there are clones of legends, as it doesn't clone anywhere in the game.

I like to hear legends during gameplay give statements about how evo empower them, as of now all i hear is that they get their weapon enhanced and their shields ready and not much about how the interaction of evo happen.

also if luba wants to kill revenant? didn't that happen many times inside the ring when we play?

as of the evo shield helmet I think I would like to see it going around the headgear and hear as a semi-transparent element.

all in all i would like to see the technologies more informative to help players understand how the world works

would love to see more of the reality explained, it doesn't seem like everything is intuitive and clear to me as of now. especially in the play
