- @BaldWraithSimp Dont be telling them to mess up the audio anymore than it is xd
- @HogynDrwg Also agreed xD
- @BaldWraithSimp When I hear Octane's jump pad being used, I usually draw weapon and get ready to spray. But when I hear Fuse's KC, I holster my weapon and try to run for cover. So what you say will get me shot in the back and killed faster, sometimes even before I get to draw my weapon.
- @BaldWraithSimp While we are on the audio subject, can we also lower or minimize teammate footsteps, or is that audio tied to the world environment audio?
Or is it a separate entity, like friendly fire & can be toggled off for teammates?
Would love to get rid of teammates melee audio during the buy phase of arenas. - @SILVERisSORRY the audio has always been broke mate, well, since s2/s3 at least.
It seems to be something they dont know how to fix a bit like "how many respawn devs does it take to change a lightbulb" question - @DoYaSeeMe How will it get you killed faster? Fuse knuckle cluster is unnecessary loud, while silent jumppad is a prevalent problem. Reducing the audio intensity of fuse tactical and adding audio to jumppad is a good change.
- @BaldWraithSimp yes, making the jump pad louder is ok, but adding the KC sound isn't 🙂
Anyway, it's not just a matter of volumes. There are sounds that can cover each other, giving you the impression that one of them is not there at all although it is and you would hear it clearly when others get muted. Mixing is pretty complicated, because of all the variables and limitations involved.
The sound of the jump pad needs to be adjusted to stand out, be distinct from others used in the game, while also recognizable and natural. - @DoYaSeeMe You've missed that moving the exact KC sound to the pad may have been sarcasm?
- @hayhor In today's sensible world, it's hard to tell 🙂
