I'll judge it when it's released and I'm sure they'll make adjustments if they need to.

Yep, and once she's live there'll be many millions of hours of game data they can use to add context to any balancing decisions.- 4 years ago

Yes, you can give the character to streamers early but these players are elite, so it doesn't really matter what legend you throw at them, they won't find them ever as OP as the average player.
The best way to deal with Valk is release her strong.
The reason for this is because she is entering the game with a completely new ability stack that we haven't seen before and the main feature here is the flight. If you make it too bad, then no one will use her a bit like what happened to Rampart.
If you bring her in powerful, then at least there will be people moaning about her, which means you will get an understanding of why she is too overpowered it might be something like "Her ability to hover in the air gives her too much mobility it needs to be toned down a notch". This will give the dev's a better idea.

The real reason characters come out powerful tho is selling skins. Get people thinking they have a new main and wham they need packs or coins to get more skins. It is a smart plan.
- 4 years ago@EA_David Ah then you'll be able to buff Wattson fences while Valkyrie is getting nerfed, thank you
- 4 years ago@DarthValtrex so true, I once pissed about 30-30 and then @E9ine_AC woke me up.
Turns out the gun indeed a sh*t show lmao.- DarthValtrex4 years agoHero (Retired)
@bosourd Yeah there have been quite a few that I freaked out on when they were announced turned out they were not that bad. Plus if it's game breaking OP they'll adjust it fairly quickly. So I don't worry about it too much.
30-30 was really annoying the first few weeks, after that I realized the Wingman was waaay better and more versatile , ran around the map clapping 30-30 players. I'll still use the 30-30 here and there just to change things up, have some fun but that's about it.
30-30 is not terrible but it's not good. It's really only a mid range gun and there are better more versatile options for that IMO. Heck the G7 is better.- hayhor4 years agoHero@DarthValtrex The reason the OP is concerned is Daniel ZKlein posted that she may be leaning towards being strong. He said he literally doesnt know.
And we know from horizon, wraith and path that the team can struggle with real balance. We all knew the issue with wraith was hitbox size but it took 2 years for them to realize it. Pathfinder they went overboard with the cooldown time and he still dosnt have a true passive that is his own. Horizon still is OP after 2 seasons due to lack of sound and how long the tactical lasts.
So I can see why some would freak out when they see a legend with rockets flying all about in a video. Where is the counter for that?
