Cross progression was never meant for separate EA accounts.
It was meant for one account that was played on different platforms.
The merge would then only effect the same account played on different platforms.
@EA_Mari @Asmodeus566 What's the reason why they can't merge the data from one account to another? Its proven possible by other games and other companies. I just see it as EA taking advantage of players and restricting them from all of their content they have rights to.

@Cyclops1522 No one is being restricted from any content they own unless the accounts are registered under the same email and items are duplicated as stated in my guide:
"Content - what if I have the same content (skin/heirloom/etc) on both of my accounts?
Unfortunately, no refunds will be issued for content acquired multiple times. The content will not appear twice in your inventory."
Other than that, as mentioned above, that will not affect any of your content as your accounts ARE NOT registered under the same EA email. You will still have all the items you own in your PlayStation:
"I have two EA accounts - will they get merged?
No, only accounts connected to the same EA account will be merged. If you want to tell which accounts you have connected to your EA account you can check your account connections by going to https://myaccount.ea.com/cp-ui/connectaccounts/index and going to connections:"- 2 years ago
@EA_Mari That's really funny that you say that credit won't be gained for duplicates but I have been told in live chat by multiple support agents that EA would and the chat transcripts to prove it so why aren't you guys on the same page. Also the question went unanswered, Why is it that other companies can merge different accounts but EA refuses to do so?

Because they're separate accounts. You can't merge people either. That'd be weird.

@DankToliet @EA_Mari I don't understand your analogy. Its data..... we are talking about data and information being merged. Such has been proven possible by Blizzard recently with Overwatch and Epic Games also had a feature a log time ago. It is not rocket science... I understand there may be fear behind it being used for malicious intent (I.E. buying and selling accounts) But with a diligent process set up with support and/or verification via email or via the original platform in app, that could be avoided. So once again, why is EA not able to do such?
