@Cyclops1522 - Yeah I honestly am not expecting anything to happen for my accounts either.
I started playing Apex when it first launched on PlayStation and had an EA account associated with that account, 2 years later, I started playing on PC, and unknowingly ended up with a second EA account since, at the time, there was no reason to link anything at all. Cross-Progression did not exist.
Fast forward to now, I have unlinked my PSN account from the old account to my current one I use for Steam and am being told that the hundreds of dollars I spent and time I put into the game are not going to transfer over?
So that leaves 5 heirlooms, countless skins, and other unlocks I will now........still not have access to for whatever reason.
It really does not make sense.
In your particular case unlinking your PSN from the 2nd EA account does nothing for you, because the Apex Legends unlocks are not tied to that account, but are tied to the EA account that you just unlinked it from. They did not intend for separate EA accounts to be merged. This is only to merge multiple platforms under the same EA account.
From what I've seen though, if you were to relink your PSN account to the other EA account, your unlocks should still be there, on that EA account. It just will not be able to merge with your other, separate, EA account that you made for your Steam account to link to.
You can't "unknowingly" end up with a 2nd EA account. You created that 2nd account, instead of linking your Steam account with your existing EA account that you were already playing on.

@dSKyNafinchin you can "unknowingly" do so when there was no reason to ever access an EA account when on console.
There was literally no reason a console player would need to log in to an EA account outside of accepting the EA ToS when launching the game because you were required to.
As a console player for 20+ years, I never had a desire to game on PC as all my friends were all on console. It was only within the last 2 years that I decided to make the move to PC. All other companies that offered cross-progression, this was never an issue.
"Oh, my MW account on console was linked to a random email address. No problem, just move it to the one I created on Steam and all progress is there."
This was the same for other accounts.
So when I started gaming on PC and downloaded Apex, it again asks you to create an account or whatever to accept their terms, so I did so, with the email I always use for gaming.
When I found out that I had two EA accounts, I didnt think it would even be remotely close to an issue as it has not been at all since I moved to PC and migrated progress from other console games to their PC counterparts.
Sure, I still have the items on console, but that is of no use to me and being told it cant be migrated because of that is going to really tick a lot of players off because there are a lot more than just those that post here.
I will still play the game because my level on PC is higher, but it still sucks that all those skins and heirlooms are basically lost.
