Hey all, I was hoping to get a positive feedback page going on your experiences with matchmaking. Please do so in a positive way. I get some may be upset by the current set up as a lot of us have had our own bad experiences with it. But, for us to get a better understanding on our experience lets compare stats. So it would be nice to see some stats and a brief explanation of what your matches are like with the current stats you have. 1: K/D 2: Hours Played 3: Matches Played 4: Account Age For Apex 5: Total Damage Done Account Wide 6: Highest Rank Earned These 6 stats should help with a good comparison to see if other experience the same or something different with similar stats or stats completely different.

"Ask for those other variables and you likely get to the bottom why ppl are upset.I think it has only remotely to do with skill metrics.Matchmaking was okish before they made Crossplay mandatory, something you would expect out of a random pick with somewhat even distribution of worse,same or better skill team mates as you are. Since around S7 i have the strong feeling the System is set up to make you fail and that feeling never vanished. The amount of unskilled players as mates (<100dmg a game) is so off the charts that you cannot explain it away being a "bug" that exists since 13 seasons ... its likely on intention.

@r1ggedgame Queue times should play zero role in this. It doesn't matter if your kd is 0.01 or 5.0 the game is designed to put people into a match as quick as possible. The only time queue times matter is in ranked where even though its a long queue for pred or masters that's because there are only so many players in the world who fit that skill gap. So all the stats I mentioned would help an overall understanding and not just focusing on high end lobbies but all lobbies.

Those stats aren't going to help.Regardless of what account I'm using, the experience is EXACTLY the same.Recently I was bored, and made a new account. The game is just brutal to newcomers. I'm getting paired with teammates that are just not very good at the game or maybe they're just very new, meanwhile, the enemies are much higher skilled pre-mades teams. If I were new, I'd probably uninstall this pretty quickly these days.I know you want positive feedback, but holy hell is this game frustrating. There are a lot of things I love about it. The graphics are top notch, you guys really have that game engine figured out. The general movement mechanics are pretty good, I'm just not a fan of bugs being considered "skilled" game play. Like jitter aim for example.The biggest change needed:You need to make more space for casual players. There's a lot of really interesting spots to explore on the maps, the game is really good looking, some of the PvE stuff has been fun. You need to give players a little more to do then just straight up murder each other, and in some ways Respawn has already done that, but it needs to be expanded on.When the only way to gain satisfaction from playing is winning gunfights, you're inviting people to become the most competitive version of themselves. So then those remaining players start become pretty Toxic. A lot of that is due to them being frustrated, and not knowing what to do in order to improve.I feel like competitive shooters are being completely ruined by cheaters, and part of that is due to game design, in my opinion. If you give players different ways to play the game beyond just having the most "cracked" aim, I think the cheaters would subside a bit.TLDR;Regardless of what account I'm using, if it's the one with a 3.0 KD or 1.0 KD, a thousand hours played or just 20, all the Pub games feel the same. Even playing ranked, which is what I primarily play, the games feel the same across all my accounts. A lot of the Rookie games feel, and are, impossible to do well in. Often times, the games in Plat feel much easier. After a certain time though, ALL rounds feel horrible. I'm located in the US for reference, so I would think I'd get paired with people relatively close no matter what time of day I'm playing.

@E9ine_AC Those are just where you start. I have no idea how Respawn measures "skill" and they won't tell either.When I go hours at a time getting at most 2 kills in a game, getting matched with players worse than me, getting matched against players MUCH better than me, and getting absolutely decimated in my first of second fight every game, all I know is that matchmaking is not doing a damn thing.

@reconzero you mean smth like this ? thats what one gets most of the time ...Impossible to win with two concrete boots

EA forum members would normally ask you to find premade teammates. No other way. They won't give other suggestions.

Yup, this is the most common outcome. But when I look at the above picture, it doesn't necessarily say to me, "people are useless," or even "useless people are useless." My real question isn't, "How much damage did they do, or how much did they contribute?" My real question is, "Did they take direction, listen to suggestions, make some kind of effort?"

Which is why I've said a million times and will say again: "skill" matching, even when it works, is not enough in a game as complex as this one. Matching needs to be done on playstyle and match goals, not on skill.

You so serious about the game. Just play the game and have fun. You are not a content creator or some famous Mande guy. You are insignificant just like me. So don't be so serious about the game. Just have fun. Make sure you don't buy the battle pass.

@reconzerothey died in split seconds thinking they know better not following my lead. banga went down running into the enemy most stupid , no smoke no nothing, lifeline didnt even bother to use the drone on banga. Thats what you get mixing lvl 1800s with LvL <100, they dont care ... they know best ... like children in adolescence.
Here is the opposite example, they def. know how to assemble functional teams ... doesnt even have to be a win, im satisfied with a game where everyone on the team puts in the effort.
Those games are what i long for, but not matches where i outdmg my mates tenfold ...
And you knopw i share your view on the playstyle matching , i remeber discussing this years ago (2021 ?!)
