@hayhor But... how? As landing edge POI's doesn't give you time to do much before you have to run, if you're unlucky with next zone, that is. I almost feel forced, as Lifeline, to land centre map now. Not Bunker though, will never land there.

@CCbathwater Do you mean how as in the hotdropping? As I said, you will be punished for it because you won't even be done fighting before the ring starts to close. So you people should land in less contested areas, loot fast and then move. The issue is as you mention, edge droppers also need to move faster.
This change is probably great for stormpoint but KC it's likely brutal due to the small map.

Where are most of the Hot drop locations, oh yeah pretty central so the ring does not change that and well the hot droppers will change to a more central local otherwise.
Edge dropping was and is great for actually avoiding the congested hot dropping areas and encouraged tactical play, now the new ring mechanic is removing the edge drop and forcing more central and congested/contested drops.

Well then i suggest in next season plz make just one ring and map size of larger swimming pool that will be hotdrop for all of us from start.
Plz set timer on 2min for game and let mayhaim begins....
@III_Rx_Queen_IIIHot Drop LTM? Why not? Trios from the dropship, single POI with outlying buildings (Relic? Fragment?), if you land outside the ring you die automatically (starting ring is final ring BR strength?), ground is saturated with loot &/or with a default loadout (P2020/Mozam or Control presets). 90 or 120 second timer and then the ring starts moving until it closes.
- @hayhor Well, I'm getting punished right now for not dropping centre map with half the lobby. And punished for not cringing with Valk.
- @CCbathwater Yeah I understand now. Haven't played yet but my friends have told me they haven't had much issue.
- @CCbathwater It hasn't been an issue except that I do have to move to the next area faster, but with Ranked I'm ring oriented anyway to avoid getting gate kept & to have a good position. So it annoys me when teams are trying to engage teams near the storm with 45 secs before it closes 🙄. I hate fighting in the storm cuz soon as you come out it seems 1 or 2 teams are waiting to pick you off. It just makes things more stressful fighting & trying not to die from the ring.
Also to answer the OP things have been ok. I've won 3 matches yesterday which is the most I've won in awhile in Ranked 😅! But on the other side of things servers were acting up quite a bit. 1 time it cost me a fight. They always know their will be heavy traffic beginning of the season so they should beef up their servers knowing that.Got a chance to play last night. The quicker closing ring never caused me an issue other than when my friend told me he wanted to fight a team with the ring closing. That's our fault not the games.
Laser sights are useless. Vantage, if used by a good player seems quite good.
For all the valk haters: The changes to KC actually made her MORE valuable. There are less rotation options so now you just fly over.
